Brooooo, you’re from Nebraska and in college. You know nothing of the world.
A seated barbell press? A new and unfamiliar movement? For someone who claims to have been lifting for 20 years (despite not having much to show for it)?
What’s next? Squats are new and unfamiliar?
That’s like someone who claims to be a top chef not knowing how to cook a fucking omolette.

I HATE it when people do this. ^^^ They make an analogy that doesn’t take into account any other variables than the one that they are trying to prove, so it looks like a solid comparison. While it is very effective against dumb people, it looks dumb when used like this.
The comparison is more like this: A person is a top chef, however, they haven’t used a basic stove in over 20 years.
Chef=Weightlifer
Basic Stove=Basic movements
its funny X has been defending bbers for so long yet he embodies all the stereotypes unjustly associated with them: slow, no coordination, all show no go. His stabilizing muscles look suspect as hell. That doesn’t just come from getting used to certain type of training but from years of practise with free weight. Regardless, X’s physique would get ripped apart in an actual competition, the judges would pick a man half his size with the right proportions.
Look bodybuilding is not all about physiques. Arnold was benching 4pps, sergio olivia was in the cuban olympic team. Watch coleman’s video, priest even cutler or Evan. Their training creates the myth and They all use heavy ass free weights. I mean who the hell wants to watch some guy loading a machine and pushing it in its fixated path while sitting on the pad ?? fuck any guy off the street with zero training can do that!!!

Nice! Did you do 225 the first time you tried the exercise too?
As a newb when it comes to that exercise he could also expect newb gains if he kept doing it.
Not that he needs to. One look at him should tell you that he already knows how to work his delts.
give the a guy a break eh, he’s the one infront of a camera and ya’ll behind your keyboard.
waylanderxx: hell yea CT looks like he’s getting bigger with some new veins to show every 15 minutes. unreal!
What’s fucked up is that I was in a car accident last October and broke my shoulder. I didn’t know this many people would be acting like I should be ignoring any risk to that area and trying to impress with the weight used. I have a knee injury as well, so I guess when I train legs, this will also be ignored.
It’s nice here in CO though. Clear skies since day one.
Haterz want a post card?
Yeah, you get this size with light weights.

Wish you were here

As much as i disagree with the way X approaches a lot of discussions on this website, everyone coming in here to take stabs at a guy who has put himself out there on camera like this is a dick. Especially in this thread, the original post couldn’t be further from what’s being discussed here. You still annoy me X! (lol) But… props for doing this and agreeing to be on camera knowing full well that people were gonna take shots at you.
The question is: Waylander, why the hell do you care?
Does something about X annoy you so much that you have to devote hundreds of post just to expressing that?
I think it’s been established pretty well that you don’t like X. Why not leave it at that?
“CT looks fucking awesome, he can do what he wants.” Well, that includes inviting X to train with him in Colorado.
B.
i rarely post, and no I’m nowhere near X’s size, but I cannot believe how few people agree with Waylander!
nothing to do with X using light weights, but he does not have a particularly impressive physique, and carries a lot of bodyfat. he behaves on these forums like he is a bodybuilding veteran when in reality countless other people on and off of here have achieved more in this pursuit.
he does appear to be a very nice guy in the vids, but behaves like a spoilt bully on the forums.
Honestly, I imagined the Professor totally different in “real life” (the vids were just a short glimps, so one cannot judge him by those). He seems a stoic, quiet person to me, at least.
As for the coordination with BB: I’m sure everyone has seen it with other guys who were away from free weights for longer periods. Nothing surprising, especially not something to whine about.
And the workouts they do at the HQ: 99% of the commerce gyms would throw you out if you’d try to mimick them. :o) Some gyms even demand people to use safety collars on smith machines, or not to do overhead press standing.
Interesting thread, though…

I haven’t seen many vids of Cutler using heavy ass weights.

I wouldnt say he carries a lot of body fat, the man is a giant. His shoulders and traps are ridiculous.

A LOT do. But what’s the point of posting about it?

God, I can’t wait to move out there. How’s the altitude been for you so far?
Good Work X,
Kudos for putting yourself out there especially when you KNOW what the responses are going to be.
Hater’s Gon Hate!!
For what its worth, anytime that I’ve ever incorporated a new movement (or taken a break from one) I’ve had to reduce the weight. It just makes common sense to me that you’d lift a weight that allows for the most mind muscle connection and that allows you to focus on just the muscle being worked especially when its a new excercise.
