Titan Tim Tackling his Twenties

I really need to find like a new hobby or something. I feel so bored with everything lately. I suppose reading is one thing but it’s not exactly fun. I feel bored because I accomplished so much this semester and now I honestly don’t know what to shoot for now.

Ever consider writing? Valuable skill set for a college student

Nah I never considered writing. If I were to write I wouldn’t know what to write about. What do you write about Pwn?

I have an online blog called ā€œMythical Strengthā€ with almost 10 years of material

I feel like this was a silly question :joy:

I honestly wasn’t thinking of a blog when he mentioned writing. I honestly thought Pwn wrote scholarly essays on philosophical topics or something like that.

his writing on the blog touches on all sorts of subjects on self improvement. It is a good place to go when you have spare time to read something.

Because I’m writing for me, I get to write the way I wanna write, which means no citing sources. I had to do that for my undergrad and masters and for professional education, so I get to write just for fun. I cover quite a few philosophical topics.

Find something you like. There’s millions of books out there all covering different things. Go ahead and read a young adult fiction story if it helps you get started. Sometimes finding something that’s ā€œeasyā€ and that you enjoy is what you need to realize that it doesn’t have to be a boring thing.

I swear this program has been like steroids for my upper body strength. I’ll post todays benching session once I’m done.

I don’t give Batman enough credit, he is human after all but still, damn.

Deep Water Beginner

Week 4 of Week 5

Bench Press

205 lbs x 10

205 lbs x 10

205 lbs x 10

Close Grip Bench

185 lbs x 10

185 lbs x 8 (Lol got a little too bold)

185 lbs x 6 cowabummer

Incline Bench

135 lbs x 10

135 lbs x 10

135 lbs x 10

Dips

1 x 12

1 x 6

1 x 10

Pushups

1 x 38

1 x 20

1 x 18

60 second plank - 20 sit ups - 3 sets no rest

Yo this was an awesome bench press session. I feel like I could do 3 x 10 with 210 lbs. I’ll stick around with 205 lbs and maybe I’ll take a crack at that weight some time during intermediate. I totally want to bench 220 lbs or 225 lbs for 3 x 10 on my upcoming run of Deep Water Intermediate. That would be an awesome way to end off the program.

Great!
How has your been bench progression been like since you first started?

By first started, I am going to assume you mean the time period of when I first started this log. My bench progression was very slow when I started out. I would say I failed to reach my goals most of the time. You know what’s funny, had I followed ALL the advice I was given on these forums when I was 16 years old then I would have been much stronger than I am now. I am not even throwing shade it’s just something, I myself regret doing but, the past is the past.

Oh I just meant overall since you started working out.

For instance I know some people who started benching 135 which was mind boggling to me (like how they have this strength without working out ever before) and naturally they progressed to 225 pretty quickly (despite kinda doing whatever, inconsistency, partying, drinking, no real focus on gym), but some ppl (myself included) started with smith machine bar and are still ways from 225.

What is your main goal in training? Aesthetics? Strength?

My goal is to make my muscles bigger and stronger. I’ll do the aesthetic later when I am very strong.
