Then you absolutely have royalty in the chili kingdom sir.

I would guess that it’s because you did it for a second time and things often don’t just continue working as well as they do at first.

Are you saying conditioning 3x a week is too much?

Idk how much is too much cause I’ve been doing it ever since. I’m not dead or overly fatigued so I guess not.

Nice!

Yeah, dude. Back to back runs seems like it’d take a pretty big toll. You likely already came into beginners slightly under-recovered so now you’re just beating an almost dead horse that is mainlining chili.

I’d like to say eating more would help, but I’m not sure. I always find that once I hit the point of feeling like garbage I can’t eat my way out of it.

You have some cajones running these back to back. I don’t think I’d be able to mentally handle it.

@boilerman Thanks bro!! The irony is that I actually ate more in this run of Deep Water Beginner. Not gonna lie it is a little disheartening not getting 10 sets of 10 but I tried my best. I’d be lying if I said I feel like running Deep Water Intermediate right after this. Maybe I’ll be more recovered after the week of Thanksgiving. I feel like that’s a perfect time for some kind of deload. I mean honestly the way it works out is wonderful, ending deep water next week, then enjoying myself the following week with my family.

Hmm I still feel like I was capable of getting more reps on those squats.

I slept great last night and I woke up so refreshed. Lol I was quite irritable yesterday but I feel great now!!! I am really debating on if I should go to the gym tomorrow or just stay in the apartment the whole day. Apparently all the locks are getting changed so If I leave the apartment I will be screwed until 6:00 pm (when my new keys will be available).

Thanks boilerman! I read a good chunk of the comics and plan on finishing them soon in the future. Also, his Mortal Kombat 11 trailer was badass.

I used to have the action figures back in the day. I think they came with a comic book in the packaging, too. I didn’t really read the story at all but I used them to try and draw him. He’s such a cool looking character. I also remember watching the movie non stop and playing the PS1 game, too.

Is he a playable character in Mortal Kombat?

Iced Earth’s ā€œQuestion of Heavenā€ is a song about Spawn. Great tune.

A song based off a comic book, interesting. I shall give it a more thorough listening on today’s Deep Water pressing.

Man I can’t believe I started this log when I was 16, it’s like a time capsule.

Lol man I swear everything turns into a tank during week 5 and 6.That 2 minute rest between sets is very humbling but I gave it my all.

I am going to summon the Pwn (@T3hPwnisher). Good afternoon sir, I was wondering, how come some programs don’t work as well as the first time you ran them?

Training is a drug. The first time is going to have the biggest impact. After that, you develop a tolerance and need to up the dose.

The first time I ran Building the Monolith, I wanted to quit after day 1. I just finished my 3rd run through of Day 1 yesterday, added a bunch of stuff to it, set a PR on Keg Grace after that, and THEN went and did day 2’s work about 12 hours later. And I’m ready to go again.

Another part of that too is, ideally, if you’re training, you’re getting BETTER from the training, which means things that were challenging before aren’t as challenging again. The challenge is what makes us grow.

Even my own mutant training does that. When I start a ROM progression cycle, I’ll lose 0 reps on that first cycle and be able to go up 30lbs on my next run. Next cycle, I’ll lose 1-2 reps and only be able to go up 15lbs.

Should training always be difficult? I’ve always found myself to make the most progress from the hardest programs/templates. Unless I didn’t have all the time in the world to spend at the gym, as of right now I can’t see myself ever being comfortable with my training feeling easy in a long term setting. @T3hPwnisher

Did I seriously reply to myself
