I have garbage can chilli which had anything in it. Lol
Then you absolutely have royalty in the chili kingdom sir.
I would guess that itās because you did it for a second time and things often donāt just continue working as well as they do at first.
Are you saying conditioning 3x a week is too much?
Idk how much is too much cause Iāve been doing it ever since. Iām not dead or overly fatigued so I guess not.
Nice!
Yeah, dude. Back to back runs seems like itād take a pretty big toll. You likely already came into beginners slightly under-recovered so now youāre just beating an almost dead horse that is mainlining chili.
Iād like to say eating more would help, but Iām not sure. I always find that once I hit the point of feeling like garbage I canāt eat my way out of it.
You have some cajones running these back to back. I donāt think Iād be able to mentally handle it.
@boilerman Thanks bro!! The irony is that I actually ate more in this run of Deep Water Beginner. Not gonna lie it is a little disheartening not getting 10 sets of 10 but I tried my best. Iād be lying if I said I feel like running Deep Water Intermediate right after this. Maybe Iāll be more recovered after the week of Thanksgiving. I feel like thatās a perfect time for some kind of deload. I mean honestly the way it works out is wonderful, ending deep water next week, then enjoying myself the following week with my family.
Hmm I still feel like I was capable of getting more reps on those squats.

I slept great last night and I woke up so refreshed. Lol I was quite irritable yesterday but I feel great now!!! I am really debating on if I should go to the gym tomorrow or just stay in the apartment the whole day. Apparently all the locks are getting changed so If I leave the apartment I will be screwed until 6:00 pm (when my new keys will be available).
Love the new spawn pic dude. Also, nice rows!
Thanks boilerman! I read a good chunk of the comics and plan on finishing them soon in the future. Also, his Mortal Kombat 11 trailer was badass.
I used to have the action figures back in the day. I think they came with a comic book in the packaging, too. I didnāt really read the story at all but I used them to try and draw him. Heās such a cool looking character. I also remember watching the movie non stop and playing the PS1 game, too.
Is he a playable character in Mortal Kombat?
A song based off a comic book, interesting. I shall give it a more thorough listening on todayās Deep Water pressing.
Man I canāt believe I started this log when I was 16, itās like a time capsule.

Lol man I swear everything turns into a tank during week 5 and 6.That 2 minute rest between sets is very humbling but I gave it my all.
I am going to summon the Pwn (@T3hPwnisher). Good afternoon sir, I was wondering, how come some programs donāt work as well as the first time you ran them?
Training is a drug. The first time is going to have the biggest impact. After that, you develop a tolerance and need to up the dose.
The first time I ran Building the Monolith, I wanted to quit after day 1. I just finished my 3rd run through of Day 1 yesterday, added a bunch of stuff to it, set a PR on Keg Grace after that, and THEN went and did day 2ās work about 12 hours later. And Iām ready to go again.
Another part of that too is, ideally, if youāre training, youāre getting BETTER from the training, which means things that were challenging before arenāt as challenging again. The challenge is what makes us grow.
Even my own mutant training does that. When I start a ROM progression cycle, Iāll lose 0 reps on that first cycle and be able to go up 30lbs on my next run. Next cycle, Iāll lose 1-2 reps and only be able to go up 15lbs.
Should training always be difficult? Iāve always found myself to make the most progress from the hardest programs/templates. Unless I didnāt have all the time in the world to spend at the gym, as of right now I canāt see myself ever being comfortable with my training feeling easy in a long term setting. @T3hPwnisher
Did I seriously reply to myself
