If I was looking for a summer internship I’m sure I would have gotten an offer. I have a great relationship with that company because representatives from that company help me out with student organization events. What I fear is making the decision of what company I want to work for after I graduate.
There’s nothing to fear about this, dude. Once you’ve got the degree, all you have to do is work hard and not burn any bridges, and if you don’t like the company you select, then in a couple years (aka nothing in the grand scheme of things), you can transition to another company with references and work experience.
You CAN get lucky and find the perfect company on your first shot, but that’s a rarity.
I have worked at:
2 Delis
2 Gyms
Military
Corrections Officer
Security
Medical Transport
Physical Therapy
Churches as an organist
and am currently at one of the two manufacturing plants I’ve worked for, in a trade I’ve been in for nearly 6 years now.
…and I’m back in school and in search of that company that will take care of its employees still.
Maybe there’s a nice big general contracting company that will help to pay for housing. I’ve HEARD stories of the company I’m working for this summer does that but I’m not entirely sure.
They do cover housing for interns and pay $2 more than my other internship last summer. My fear is based around the fact that I’m attending college and working at companies in a different state. After graduation It would be financially wise if I worked at a company in my home state but it may not be a company I want to actually work for in the long run. It would be nice if I could stay at my parents house to save up my money a bit after graduation.
Bummer it didn’t work out but it seems like you have an in for this coming year, man. Awesome.
Thanks a lot boilerman, since I won’t be working the winter break I might run Super Squats the month of January. I won’t have any school work either so I can easily run the program the right way without other stresses.
Hey @T3hPwnisher do you feel the sudden urge to go shopping for doormats after reading this?
You are the taco king and I am the lord of chili.
Once you stop putting beans in it, yeah, haha.
Late to the party here, but I feel like the best hedge against this is having passive income/fat brokerage account that provides some cushion and/or insurance of you leaving.
How many years straight do you need to eat chilli every day to become royalty, I am close to 5 years now
Hmmm, do you like chili with beans and/or bacon?
The lord of chili recommends you stick to taco affairs. We like our chili with beans over here sir.

Wait beans are carbs? (Well it’s a good thing I was too lazy to buy beans the last time I made it)
Absolutely. The book lists approved foods and beans aren’t on there
Honestly dude Idk what goes on in my head sometimes. I only ate chili with beans once throughout this program tho. That I do know.

Seriously though, this was very hard and I made sure I didn’t give up even though I knew I was not getting 10x10. Compared to my first run it seems like progression is not as fast as it was. I’m gonna assume it’s because i’m doing conditioning 3 times a week or the weight just too darn heavy. Perhaps I may want to change that when I do intermediate. I am looking leaner though.
