Titan Tim Tackling his Twenties

Is it ok I cook in a regular skillet or will I definitely need a cast iron skillet. I know @anna_5588 mentioned the cast iron skillet.

I know you aimed it at @boilerman but it boils down to what you’re wanting to get out of it. I’ve pan fried plenty of steaks when I was in a bind. You will have a healthy cooked meal at the end.

Cast Iron adds an awesome level of deliciousness, but in terms of getting in nutrients and growing, you’re good.

It is not absolutely necessary. You can cook in whatever you have available, it’ll just take some time to get used to cooking it in that way. Cast makes it easier due to the ability to hold heat well.

You might benefit from reverse searing if you don’t have access to a cast iron pan, just to ensure the meat is cooked enough… Definitely.not a make or break thing, though.

Just experiment with how long to let steaks cook in order to have them hot enough to be ā€œdoneā€. The goal is the get the food in your stomach, not to become a chef!

Just my opinion, but learning how to cook well isn’t mutually exclusive from all the other things you are doing and helps with compliance a ton. So I would recommend not being afraid to try different recipes and see what works for you, of course keeping in mind that they makes sense for what you are trying to achieve and fit within the dietary restrictions you have set for yourself.

Get your roomies to throw in on a grill. You don’t stink up your place. And nothing beats having a few beers with your bros after class, while you grill something up.

Unfortunately Flats, we’re not allowed any kind of grills

They don’t even allow rice cookers(not like I planned on eating rice) or toasters

Bench

190 lbs x 10

190 lbs x 10

190 lbs x 10

Close Grip

140 lbs x 10

140 lbs x 10

140 lbs x 10

135 lbs x 8 or something (Roll of shame)

Dips

1x5

1x4

1x3

60 second plank - 20 situps 3 sets no rest

I wasted so much energy figuring out the correct rack height so I could unrack the bench. All in the end, I ended using the one I set it to in the beginning and somehow I was able to unrack the bar for all three sets of 190 lbs.

Unfortunately I kinda failed my incline sets. I didn’t do the last set cause I was in a rush to get out of the gym. I had 13 assignments due at 11:59 pm on this day. I’ll take note of that. I did the roll of shame like a badass tho.

I am very close to benching 200-205 lbs for 3 x 10

Man it’s like the strength gains are infinite. I am definitely set for the last two weeks of intermediate. All this steak is gonna go bye bye.

I should consider learning how to cook poultry as well for moderation purposes.

Bench is moving up.

How do you feel your body composition has changed over deep water? Do you think you have put on a good bit of muscle?

Oh definitely man. I been putting on muscle everywhere. My chest got bigger, so did my arms, shoulders, and legs.

As far as the body composition thing goes. I would like to have less fat on me but I don’t look fatter than I was before. I look more muscular.

You know how much weight you have actually put on? That is awesome to hear man.

I don’t have a scale with me so I actually don’t know man.

I guess I could just buy one.

Unless you’re trying to make weight for some specific purpose - which you’re not - fuck a scale.

This is the only thing that matters. And when you want to lean down a bit, just spend more time being hungry while still getting adequate protein and the mirror will tell you when that’s working too.

Don’t get me wrong - im not anti-having a scale, and I have one - I just mean if things are going well, don’t add an extra factor to consider.

This was all I could squeeze in at the gym. I finished strong. Should’ve went for 20 but the pain got to my head. @boilerman @T3hPwnisher

I’m really frustrated with this student org thing. I have not done everything in my power to get more participation but, once that list is checked off and there is no participation….

Edit: Removed statement cause it was messed up

I hope students show up to the event tomorrow. I contacted every professor in my major to maybe make an incentive. I told my executive board to spread the word in any cmgt class group chat. I even got someone to email a flyer and a zoom link out to every cmgt student.

Whoa dude back up a second and think about what you just said. That kind of elitist mentality is dangerous. We live in a world full of over 7 billion people and in any category you are nowhere near the best. Does this mean you don’t deserve a job? No. Just stay in your own lane and stick to what you can do for yourself and others. Don’t worry about what they do with it. Just my 2 cents. I do get the frustration though trust me.
