Camping is officially coming to end tomorrow morning (Friday Morning - Sunday Morning) . Weāll be packing up our tents and heading out of here.
I was expecting middle of nowhere ooga booga survival camping. Nah, just some campgrounds at a beautiful park near a lake. There was some wildlife: crawfish, herons, ducks, turtles, fish.
I enjoyed every minute of it and I ate goodā¦.steak, burgers, eggs, hotdogs, chicken, sāmoresā¦.and never knew how good pan fried SPAM could be on French bread.
Moments like these really reaffirm how grateful and excited I am for life.
Iām halfway done with one of the Study.com transfer classes I need to do before starting the official accounting program, but yeah technically I started.
Not that I have to do it, it would lower the cost.
I wonder what makes more sense:
Househack (5 years and never again) ā-> Union Carpenter/Electrician ā-> Return to Construction Management as Superintendent
Househack (5 years and never again) ā-> Union Carpenter/Electrician ā-> Asset Management Analyst/Investment Sales Analyst ā-> Return to Construction Management as Superintendent
Househack (5 years and never again) ā-> stay in current role for a total of 10 years ā-> Union Carpenter/Electrician ā-> Return to Construction Management as Superintendent
I think about this^ everyday and then thereās also likeā¦.āshould I work in auditing for a stint?āā¦.itās tricky because thereās a dance with earning potential and years of experience, but I also want to expand my skillset strategically.
Thereās also retirement to consider as well. I can take paycuts, but in a strategic way becauseā¦ā¦only so much ārunwayā after those 5 years of house hacking.
I did it for 3 years and I wouldnāt do it again.
Unless youāre talking about internal auditing at a private company, which is different. But auditing for a public accounting firm, hell no, no amount of money is taking me back there.
Iām gonna do myself a favor and get back on conjugate.
Karwoski isnāt doing it for me anymore because Iām purposely avoiding deadlifts on behalf of the reasoning that I donāt feel like doing them on Saturday mornings.
I have a personal rule to not put the most painful lifting session as the first of the week.
I never want my Sundays or Mondays to feel like anxiety inducing discipline hell.
I played mini golf (18 courses) with 9 other dudes last night (they are like 27 years old or older and married). I was expecting us to play regular ass business man golfā¦not that Iām complainingā¦.I had a lot of fun and beat everyone in the end.
Afterwards, we went to a sports bar and I overate because fck it, gotta live.
Speaking of courses, as of today, I knocked out 3 study.com business transfer courses for the WGU accounting bachelors. 4 more left and then Iāll start the program in December.
Combining the study.com courses with my bachelors in construction management (minor in business) leaves me with 19 classes to take, mind you this a whole bachelors degree..my current bachelors degree wiped out a lot of courses.
The cool thing is all of the classes left are quite literally core accounting classesā¦funny how itās now the length of a typical masters, but a ton more cheaper. The study.com classes Iām doing right now are āfluffā.
And letās also make time to research lots of real estate companies as there are ālayersā to everything going as deep as my needs in regards to company cultureā¦.practicality gotta love it. I definitely know what shit corporate culture is.
