Not to steal the focus from the awesome work going on in this log, but I gotta say, I just can’t believe this. Second time I’ve seen you offer to help someone out financially in pursuing their lifting gains, always to good people who are putting in the work. Hell, I remember when you sent that axle to Brian a ways back. Seriously, that is just unheard of level of support from some place like an Internet forum. Forget about offering to buy him a crockpot, just talk about the amount of time you’ve spent offering advice to people on how to achieve their goals. It’s honestly shocking to see the amount of support you give guys on here, and I seriously hope someday this place and the people in it have a chance to repay the favor.

Also, Tim, totally get the crockpot. Cheap as hell works just fine, but it’s seriously a meal prep hack. Chuck in some chicken, rice, veggies, just leave, and you can come back to half your meals ready for the week

Definitely appreciate the sentiment dude: thank you for writing that all out. Seeing someone work hard in pursuit of physical transformation really gets me excited, especially someone young at the start of it. I think of all the time and energy I wasted at that age and always hope that others can benefit from my mistakes. And when I think of how much joy the $20 would get me compared to someone else if it gets them a crockpot, it’s a no brainer.

@atlas13 I too am a huge fan of @T3hPwnisher. I appreciate every piece of wisdom and help he has given me and, I will buy that slow cooker without hesitation. Lol in my opinion I would say he’s the most respected person on these forums and for a good reason. Lol lol lol, like I needed to even point that out tho, we all know.

Hey cool Pwn has a cake icon next to his pfp. Such great timing, I believe that indicates when he joined the forums?

Those squats were very difficult. 300 lbs felt a ton heavier than 290 lbs. The set got pretty sloppy form and depth wise around rep 14 or 15 ish. Holding that bar on my back really sucks. Reracking that bar was a challenge as well but I think I just set the J-hooks? too high.

Appreciate the sentiment dude! You’re living proof of exactly what I wrote about. It’s been so incredible watching you turn the ship around here. You started off soft and have grown into someone that is constantly “getting to yes”. I have such envy that you’re so young and already have so much of training and nutrition sorted out compared to where I was at your age, but that’s not resentful envy at all: it’s the kind that lets me live vicariously through you.

And yup: I’ve been a member here for 15 years now. That’s pretty wild. Funny enough: I joined while I was running Super Squats. My very first post here was one answering a question of how much milk we were drinking each day. I was way too proud to write “A gallon”, haha.

For the j-hooks thing: as you’re squatting, the bar is slipping down your back, so it starts out just right for the unrack and ends up too low at the end. Solution is just set the j-hooks lower for set-up. That happens to me.

@tlgains I think this is an amazing thing you’ve been doing.

You haven’t questioned lifting in the morning, doing deepwater back to back, super squats, low carb, GOMAD…

It’s inspiring, dude. You’re just putting in work.

Get us the deets man! You weighing yourself? How much have you put on with the program? Cool to see your squat is now within 5lbs of a weight that buried you at the start.

Hello Pwn, I do not own a scale so I haven’t been tracking my weight. I am happy that my squat is close 5 lbs less than the weight that kicked my butt the first session, it makes me wonder how far my squat will go.

Does your gym have a scale? That’s what I used when I ran the program. It’s not the biggest deal, but with the “30lbs in 6 weeks” promise, I remember chasing after that. I managed 12! Haha.

Yes my gym has a scale, it’s in the locker room at my gym. I’ve thought about using it a couple times when I was running that 5/3/1 PR set widowmaker template. :joy: Ever since starting Super Squats I’ve been on auto-pilot so the thoughts left my mind.

@T3hPwnisher I weigh 224.8 lbs that’s the most I’ve ever weighed in my life. Last time I weighed myself was during the 5/3/1 PR Set and Widowmaker template, I weighed 219 lbs.

Squats were pretty tough especially after rep 15, must crush 330 lbs no matter what

(Not my intention to be negative but I’m surprised at how my bench has been moving)

I really like how I’m staying true to my goals/words and my actions reflect that.

Unreal, dude. Excellent work!

And you’re up about 6 lbs overall? That’s amazing.

Still doing GOMAD?

Yessir! Well I’ve been trying to work up to a gallon but it’s been tough. I worked up to 3/4 of a gallon. I’ve been getting clobbered by college assignments these past two weeks.

Thank you wiseman! Glad you’re in for the ride! I can see why a lot of people would want to avoid it, It’s not easy.

I jokingly call it “Mental Torture, the program”
No matter what I always think about how the the squats will feel the next session.
