Really looking forward to seeing your progress as you run super squats. As much as I’ve heard posters mention it, idk if I’ve ever seen a log of anyone actually running it here, will be great to get a real look into it.
On a different note, got a question for ya. Apologize if it was addressed earlier in the log, but what’s your athletic background? I know your in college know, did you play sports through high school? Your squat is pretty dang impressive, seems like legs are a strong point for ya, which made me think you probably had a sports background.
… although now that I say that, I think that my squat is garbage, and I have a very extensive sports background…. So maybe that’s not the best assumption lol
Hey Atlas happy to hear you’re looking forward to following along! I don’t have a huge sports background but I wrestled in 7th and 8th grade. I also played football my freshman year of high school and I sucked at it. That’s about it, I quit football then I started lifting, and by lifting I mean maxing out on bench and skipping legs until my junior year of high school.
Instead of a 5 lb increase I did a 10 lb increase from last time for squat, will be doing 10 lb increases for squat instinctively but, will go back to 5 lb increases, for now heh heh.
I lied, I did another 10 lb increase. The squat felt easier than 280. Didn’t change a thing at all… for that I’m adding another 10 lbs next time. I want this to hurt.
There is always the question of whether I should add 5 or 10 lbs. My response to that question is I will simply not fail:
I don’t want the set to feel easy but if I ever do dunk then so be it, cause I can’t get away with adding 10 lbs EVERY time.
I think i might door dash some frozen bison from this grocery store tomorrow. @T3hPwnisher Yo Pwn silly question but do you do anything fancy with bison or do you just treat it like ground beef?
I went through a phase with it last year, it’s solid, flavor profile is marginally different than ground beef, better for the environment (allegedly). Not game changing but nice to mix it up occasionally, makes me want to grab more now.
I do not, I have been hesitant to buy one because I have this electric pot thing in the basement. It’s in an orange box and for some reason I decided to not take it with me. I don’t remember if it’s a crockpot or
something else.
It very well could be a crock pot. I just ask because it seems like you’re trying to branch out a little bit. I have been doing more roasts lately and they’ve been coming out really good. They’re super easy and can be pretty big so I think it might be right up your alley.
