Tiny Freak

Nicely done Ms. Kimba! I like the self-assessment on form.

And it sounds like you have regained your enthusiasm. That makes me happy.

Important stuff out of the way first. That ASS is just stellar!

Great job on the 225. You made it look like a cakewalk.

look at all the weight you are hauling you tiny freak you!!

Seriously, that 225 looked like it went up fast and easy. Wowsers!

woot woot! 225 baby! And it does sound like you got a bit of your spunk back. Even better! Well done woman.

George, thanks for the cheer!

giterdone, if I’m injured in any way my mood and attitude deteriorate substantially. I hate to be broken. My current knee thing doesn’t stand in the way of lifting so I’m grateful for that. Then I read stories about folks my age fighting cancer and other serious stuff, and I feel like a pathetic whiner for moaning about a hurt heel or knee. So I can’t run for a week or so. Boo fucking hoo.

print, I understand your priorities and I’m OK with that.

Frenchy called me a tiny freak! Clearly I’m doing something right.

Nadia, note that the ROM was pretty small. And that lockout is not my problem – breaking it off the floor is my sticking point. Still, thanks!

Today I went to ART and got pummeled. I feel pretty tired from that and am taking yet another rest day to make sure my knee will be up for skiing and snowshoeing during the mini-vacation that is about to commence.

Still fighting the mysterious battle to keep up my weight, which is still a half to a full pound too light. I just ate most of a ripe mango – delicious and I pretended I was on a tropical island instead of in the middle of a freezing rain storm. Two words about what I’m looking forward to in the next few days: breakfast buffet.

Maschy, you snuck in on me. Thanks for leaving some of your energy and enthusiasm for me here! It helps with elevating my spunk-o-meter.

WOW your true to your name, that is for sure!

I can only hope to follow in your footsteps someday.

Damn fine pulling, and congrats on the PR. An eco ball would help your grip without getting you gym all upset.

True to Kim’s word, she pulls 225#… for 2 reps!
And a MP PR?

Ah-may-zing.

Lol I love when my volume influences others ;D
Killed it today.

My brother walked by as I was watching your rack pulls and he just looked down, shook his head and said ‘Puts me to shame.’

Thanks!

looked great!!! can’t say much else

i would drop the riser one and attempt to work back up to 225 over time. you could also go back to this height and continue to move up in weight. training supramaximally is a good thing:)

things are going really well for you. i would also suggest doing some pulls from the floor but keep it light and really fast. also make sure your form is perfect. keep the reps low…around 3 but for multiple sets.

woo hoo… nice pull nice press…things are looking up in kimbaville! groovy.

Sounds like powerlifting training. Do I sense a meet in the future for Ms. Kimba?

Nice rack pulls. Loved the speed and hip thrust.

Super sweet!

HAPPY DANCE!!!

tip to add weight : eat whole mango.
no halfs of anything.

hmm…kimba in a singlet. Its what dreams are made of

Upscale, thanks for the kind words! I’d love to hear more about your training.

Joe, I googled eco ball and that does sound helpful.

Nikki, you definitely influence me. If I’m going to wimp out on doing just one more exercise, I think “pussy…nikki would be doing 10 more exercises!”

pch, thanks for sharing that. Now I feel like SUPERWOMAN!!

MM, thanks so much for your help with this. I’m lots better at pulling because of you. Will do!

Snapper, I’m not yet inclined to do a meet. This is the year of the 5k for me.

Betty, trust me…I’m dancing too!

Frenchy, my mission on this mini-vacation that I’m on is to eat everything in sight. I started with a steak sandwich and BBQ chicken salad with my pear-tini.

Maschy, I can do better sexy-wise than a singlet.

Today’s training was a 1 hour XC ski-skate on a beautiful trail called “Dark Forest”. Tomorrow I’ll hit the hotel’s relatively well-appointed gym before another XC ski. Then maybe a dip in the outdoor pool…yes, I may be crazy!

I LOL’d

That was sex to my ears.
I was wondering where the food talk was. I mean, breakfast buffet?! Yet not describing the spread.
That hurts ;D

Don’t mind me, just stopped by to look at your icon.
