Tiny Freak

All Riiiiiight! nice set and you are primed to make a 1 rep PR now

Oh my gosh, you’re a strong little fucker. You gotta be stoked about the bench and DL after that session. Very sweet.

Holy Moley to both the BIG Dl & that backside. Both are great to gaze upon.

& In my best lispy DirtFloorCracka voice… “Holla atcha boy” when you rock PR’s.

Kimba–awesome bench and dl prs. I think the running is making you a stronger lifter–ha!

my brain was hypnotized by the combined lovelyness of the kimbabutt and the those cut arms lifting that crazy weight.

go girl!

giterdone, I try to call 'em like I see 'em. If I’m off-base either too hard on myself or not pushing hard enough, I appreciate getting kicked in the arse by you lot.

George, I think I could probably pull a new PR now. But I think I’ll continue with the 5/3/1 program and inch forward slowly. That’s worked for DL up until now.

Snapper, yep. A strong little fucker. Takes one to know one. Could you imagine how much traffic a log named that would get? Your log is about to expire, so consider that as my next log name suggestion for you.

Print, thanks. I am using my imagination as to what a DirtFloorCracka might be.

Nadia, ha! So much for running making us weak!

Frenchy, aw shucks. You are sure easy.

So, I had to give the subject of 2011 goals quite alot of thought. I mean, I know what my LIFEtiME goals are – bodyweight bench, four plate deadlift, and 1.5 x bodyweight squat. But I also don’t think those are achievable in 2011. Newbie gains are far in the past, and I have to fight for every additional pound. My quat is still in rehab and progress is snail-like.

And I’m OK with that. Slow, steady progress is fine by me.

Kimba’s 2011 goals

  1. Not get injured.
  2. Continue to fit into my size 25 Hudsons. Trust me, there is zero room for weight deviation here.
  3. Run a 5K race fast.
  4. Get a 200 lb. sumo deadlift. This requires me to add 15 lbs. to my best DL.
  5. Get a 135 lb. squat with no knee cave. I know I can squat 130 lbs. with horrible, terrible form, but that’s not what I’m looking for.
  6. Get a 100 lb. bench press. I need 8 lbs. more for this one.
  7. Get a 70 lb. military press. This is probably the hardest goal of them all. I SUCK at these.

That’s enough, I think. I like odd numbers, and this is one goal for each chinup.

I can’t recall if we ever got a pic of those famous Hudons?

goals look solid to me. and an 8lbs bench increase can be tough. Lookin forward to jumpin out of my chair in exitement for you.

great job on those chins but i’m a little disappointed. i thought there were done in a thong. i think you could have gotten 3 more if it wasn’t for those heavy shorts:)

seriously though… awesome job:)

saw the dead video as well. you have a good bit of back rounding going on. that comes from starting the lift with your back. the sumo is all about using the lower body to start the lift. start the lift by forcing the knees out and driving out of the hole just like when squatting. if you watch your video the upper body starts moving before the lower does anything. the upper body should be basically motionless when starting the lift. the upper body is really only used to lockout the lift.

i would suggest doing some elevated deads starting with the bar just below the knee. at that level you will basically be just pushing the hips through to lockout. videotape yourself from that height and once you perfect that, lower the height a little bit. keep videotaping and be sure that the upper body is staying tight with the chest high. over time you can work your way down to floor level. it’s all about gett’n the lower body into the lift and your back out of it.

you can always tell a woman that lifts… even when they are lean like you, they still have that bubble butt:)

Oh boy all these goals.

And everyone’s setting their expectations too low!
You will get that sumo DL damn fast Kim, along with the bench and squat and MP. Why don’t you give yourself a challenge? ;D

I don’t think that your progress is snail-like. Sometimes we forget how far we’ve come.
Just keep doing what you’re doing, and try to look at your progress from a month’s point of view, instead of the day-by-day.

Cuz I swear, every damn day I read a PR in here!

Outstanding lifting Kimba, congrats on the PR’s.

i still dont see a pic of your ass in hudsons.

woo hoo! just caught up on the chin/dl vids. smokin as always and getting super strong. waif meets she-ra. spicy!

great chins

Great work in here, chins and deads looked strong.

Frenchy and Bear, I’ll see what I can do about the Hudsons. Seriously, how many ass pictures have to be in this log before I lose my cred as a “serious lifter”.

Meat, I am thankful as always for your help and will get goin’ on those elevated deads.

Nikki, trust me that my expectations aren’t low but realistic. My PRs are generally rep PRs and my weights increase, but slowly over time. That is good with me!

deja, I love when you call me spicy!

Joe and Jack and alexus, thanks as always for stopping by.

So today is the second day of sitting on my ass trying to recover from Sunday’s deadlifting. I tweaked the bottom of my heel on one of the deadlifts…I remember shifting my heel as the weight came up on one of them. I NEVER do that. grrr. Its getting better, but to be sure I scheduled an extra ART session for tomorrow.

I am hereby amending my 2011 goal of remaining uninjured by excluding minor tweaks.

Did we reach the required limit for kimbabutt? the fanclub might be disapointed

seriously I have heard of those hudsons for a few logs now and I’m just curious ass to what kind of rockstar jeans look like. But it doesn’t have to be this week, you can make it your next picture project.

Freudian slips are Freudian. Or was that on purpose? You’re a tricky one frenchie.

Uggh. Sorry about that tweak. I’m sure ART will resolve it. I hate that good form matters.

so i see you’ve not been rolling your arches with tennis balls or the like.

hmmmm.

punishable. redemption requires hudson pic. don’t listen to the frenchie. it DOES have to be this week!

and there is no limit to how many ass pics you post before you lose your cred as a serious lifter.

  1. if you had it to begin with…

  2. could be proof that you are…

I’ve strained a calf deadlifting before. The Bear is right though - rolling your feet on a tennis ball daily is good and feels nice, too.
