Just recently I have found my self throwing up right after I am done lifting. This does not happen all the time but I think it is still a problem.
Right after I throw up I have my PWO shakes. But I know how bad throwing up is and how do you guys think this is effecting my strength/size gains?
Thanks!
I used to puke after every wrestling practice. Now it seems limited to my very hard lifting workouts when I have a caffinated pre-workout drink. It doesn’t bother me too much, just means I’m working hard.

I don’t think it’s such a bad sign. It either means that you are sick, and you shouldn’t be lifting on that day, or it means that you have pushed your body so hard that it is struggling to compensate for the huge amount of energy exerted.
I have yet to puke, but I have come very, very close many times. That is when I know I had a good day at the gym!
If it happens all the time, I would be concerned about esophagus damage and the acid rotting your teeth. A bodybuilder nick-named “Gumby” is just not as sexy.
its not a big deal as long as it dosent happen every time. i throw up on occasion after a grouling workout. and it could have to do with eating too much before your workout too

I have also come close a few times, so what I did was to stop training with food in my stomach. Sounds like moronic advice, but hey, if there’s nothing in your stomach, then you can’t throw it up, right?
Make sure you wait a couple of hours between your last meal and working out, that should be more than enough time for the food to have cleared your stomach.
Throwing up is not good, physiologically speaking (unless you ate something that was bad), wasting all those calories is stupid if you can avoid it.
I’ve had plenty of very hard workouts that did not involve nausea. Believe me, puking is not necessary.
