Social media and the internet is so fricking toxic, I did myself a favour and came off the lot. Reading the above angers me and it’s not even directed at me… some stranger telling you (without being prompted) how much ā€œpotential damageā€ you are doing squatting like that, well no shit four plates on your back is going to look different to one … Point being, I’ve been in a similar boat in a different sport, self appointed experts telling me right from wrong with no idea of training history, injuries/ailments or what my desired outcome with said approach might be…

These keyboard warriors criticising dietary approaches will consider a protein shake a meal and consume three a day to get their 200g of protein in bro.

Keep doing what you’re doing, the progress you’ve made is tremendous, haters reek of envy.

I hear you. I went through a stretch when even reading other people’s logs was de-motivating, encouraging me to question myself and what I’m doing.

Man, as much as I do hate to see ya stop, this is the best reason you could have said. You do some amazing stuff in here, and you do it for you. People suck sometimes, and if that’s starting to take away from the awesomeness you have going on, then you’re making the right move. Wishing you all the best, even if you aren’t recording your ridiculous lifts anymore

You could just ā€œignoreā€ the jealous loser or just post your workout and no more GIFs.

I enjoy the shame aspect and do better when it’s public.

left to my own it take about 3 days for me to be 1/4 squatting.

If I am filming and know I am posting, I would not do this :laughing:

Anyone who says that shit…ignore. You know what you did - we all belive you after the GIFs we have seen.

To be fair though dude, those of us who have been following your log for a while will know you’re actually hitting what you’re saying your hitting. Can you really not just blank out the dicks? Like full-out ignore them if they post on your log?

I dunno, I don’t wanna go on too much… It’s just a shame to see you stop.

I empathize completely with your reasoning though. My gym seems to be full of experts with their diplomas gained from 10-second TikTok clips completely ignorant of any bit of nuance and individuality in training. Constructive criticism and an open conversation are fine… otherwise just let me move forward in my own way.
