daily calorie goal 2000

I’ve been drinking alcohol. Eating pie, ice cream, candy. I’ve been eating at restaurants.

I don’t know how to achieve a balance. This year my life is going well, my nutrition and training are not.

Last year I made my largest gains, ever, in physical goals but was shocked/embarrassed when I got my 1099’s.

Not going to become obsessed with this again, but I do need some course correction. I know how this ends by summer if I don’t make some changes now.

You were a huge motivation to me when I first came here and I’m glad to see you’re still logging. Definitely in!

I can see this. You seem to be all in or not. I think you have mentioned going up and down in weight over the years in your training log.

How do you think you can find balance? Would hiring a coach help? You understand how to get results, but sustainability is tough (for me too).

I fell victim to this in 2019. “Excessive celebration”. Life was going VERY well and, in turn, I was celebrating EVERYTHING.

“Made it through the week: let’s go out for ribeyes!” “Today was a hard day of work: ice cream for the family!” Then COVID hit and we were doing our DUTY by supporting local restaurants.

I had to learn how to celebrate with the company rather than the food. You may be in a similar way.

I found this video to be quite helpful and informative. I hate just sending a youtube link to someone saying “watch this”, because if someone did that to me - i’m straight up not watching it… but here

It should help find a balance, but the entire RP Fat Loss series is solid gold.

absolutely this. man of extremes.

I’ve never believed in balance. I go through periods of crushing it in one area (body), then move that obsessed dedication to another (job, family, etc…)and hope to maintain what you built in the other area.

To me balance is like maingaining, you’re not getting your best result, maybe even just spinning your wheels.

Hope I’m wrong on this.

starting with public accountability. more likely to do some cardio, lift, and eat properly if I’m documenting what I did that day.

Top five-channel for quality content.

I’ve listened to them on 10 mile walks so much that when they do the Q&A’s I know how they will answer the questions.

If you don’t mind me asking: Surgery recovery, surgery prevention, something else?

Decided not to have surgery.

It’s the exercises prescribed by the therapist last year, that I do twice a day.

At this point, it’s just a warm-up ritual.

That dude looks creepy as hell but my right shoulder has been bothering me on press and bench so I’m going to watch it lol

I got such a wonderful surprise when I stumbled across this log and saw that it was yours! Welcome back!

Whatever life’s challenges, they’re always easier to face when you have support. And as you can see from the responses so far, there’s plenty of genuine love and support here.
