Thoughts on Cheese.

I personally use a lot of cheese in my diet. I find it an easy way to pack in a lot of flavor and a lot of calories. I have been trying to eat 5000 a day for the past few months and it can be a daunting task sometimes. Not only does a few ounces of cheese spice up the flavor a lot it adds the much needed caloric density that my food needs. I hae been using a lot of feta lately - superb on a sweet potato!

Do you use cheese in your diet?

Yup. On burgers or meat sandwiches. Like you said easy way to add some extra calories.

Omelettes, omelettes, omelettes

Yep. Throw feta in an omelet, cottage cheese with some shredded sharp cheddar thrown in is awesome, cheese is required on all burgers/sandwiches.

Cheese is almost added to every meal I eat…
I add it mainly for the extra-protein.

Havarti, aged asiago, pecorino romano, queso oaxaca, queso asadero, feta (greek, low sodium, wet not dry), smoked fontina…hmm

If you want to impress a girl, try Mt Tam Triple Cream by Cowgirl Creamery. Find some rosemary crackers and a decent bottle of vino - try the Pinot or Shiraz by Artesa. Hoo-rah.

There’s also a cheese by Chimay, makers of my favorite ale…there’s a green label and an orange/red label. Do NOT get the green, but the other one is fantastic.

Aged asiago is stunningly good.

Whenever I eat a burger or eggs without cheese, it always feels like it’s missing something…

…yeah, it’s missing the cheese.

Cheese…

I’m not even sure I can put into words just how much I love cheese.

I go through probably 3-4 cups of shredded cheese each day, as well as probably 5-6 string cheeses.

Diced up chicken breasts, with heaps of shredded cheese and bacon crumbles on top, melted = heaven (and a daily meal of mine)

Seriously, what the hell would we do without cows?

I like cheese, I stick to the fat free stuff though and use it sparingly.

God damn I love pizza.

string cheese!!! and smoked GOUDAA

fat free cheese doesn’t count as cheeeese

Muenster cheese is supreme. If I’m too lazy to actually make anything, it can always just be eaten as a giant block

I prefer the giant block method as well.

8oz. blocks of cheese. ~800 calories, tons of protein, and tons of evil saturated fats.
Mostly AD friendly, but each serving as about one grab of carbs.

Hey now. Let’s keep in mind saturated fats are no more evil than any other macronutrient.

And since this thread is “Thoughts on Cheese” I think it’s time for a little Haiku:

“Cheese is very yum
I eat it with spaghetti
It bulks me up fast”

Thank you.

I put parmesan on just about everything. Love the stuff. Though I love lots of other cheeses, where I’m at (Costa Rica) the cost of a block of cheese makes my head want to explode. Typically over 15$

“Oh yeah, Cheeeeeeeese… didn’t we lock you in a dumpster one time?”
