Thoughts on Arm Blasters for Curls?

Excellent article on arm curls. What are your thoughts on the so-called “arm blasters”? Do they work to force correct form or are they just a lazy person’s way around focusing on correct posture & activating the correct muscles?

I have an arm blaster. I bought it way back after seeing Arnold using it in a book.
I’ve rarely used it. I just find it very uncomfortable. The strap pulls down on the back of my neck, especially if I focus on keeping my elbows back. During heavy sets I’d find my mind thinking about not pulling my neck down instead of focusing on my curl rep.

I bought an arm blaster years ago and found that I couldn’t curl any less with it so…eventually I sold it I think such things only really make sense if they limit the weight you can use in a way which makes it obvious that basically before you were cheating your curls.

It honestly makes good pics by compressing the arm. I honestly doubt that Arnold actually used it though.

The preacher curl does the same thing but better

Same. It is so uncomfortable esp. if you’re a wider dude. I have a wide frame and it just blew trying to bring my elbows “in” to use. Plus the yank on the neck.
