I will not contemplate koans, dog. All that ever did was make me crazy. “what is the sound of one hand clapping?” Probably just sit back, relax, watch the fish and be at peace.
Swimming tonight, early gym tomorrow.[/quote]
I always thought the proper answer to that one was rapidly placing one open hand upside the asker’s head.
Willy, Outside temp is still staying in the80s but the river is getting noticably cooler. Probably start using the indoor cement pond soon. Just ain’t the same, though.
Skid, skid, skid…

My wife wants to install a fiberglass pond. She is afraid of swimming in the river. I don’t understand…One itty bitty 6’ long moccasin and she wont get in the water. Then there is grass on the bottom…Women!!
Pretty much know where the cottonmouths hang out Willy. As long as I keep to the deep water and away from the sloughs I don’t see many. Sides, cottonmouth tastes like crap.
More afraid of the two legged snakes driving boats and jetskis.

Nice lifting, good pic and I love your “ponder yonder” site!
I love this time of year. Something in the air I think. Fall means winter’s coming (I’m not a big fan of winter anymore) and the outdoor workload doubles for a bit, but I still love the fall. If only it would last a few months longer, huh?
I think I want to be you too, hel. Thanks for keeping the faith in this old shrink to find his way back to the iron. I’m glad to see you suck as bad as me at squatting lol Doc
Throwin off of hard packed dirt with a sheet of plywood on it, Carl. Not the best for the form but very accessible. Also made me one of the hammers with chains replacing the ball, 6k exactly, so I don’t make too big of holes.
Thanks Doc, the squats and I are in the middle of a love/hate relationship. Speaking of which…
Very early this morning

I’ve often thought that after I get kicked out of the last conceivable hammer throwing area in Las Vegas, I will take a piece of plywood out into the desert and terrorize the Joshua trees. Glad to know its doable.

Another week’s worth of my lifting in one day, Hel. Good going. Squats looking like more love than hate.
Got to get my squats in before I hurt myself tyring te steps, Geech.
Last night had a good swim. Definitely getting time to move indoors.

Same as my last bench work out. Going to have to try and mix some stuff up. Have never really done them but I may start throwing in some declines. We’ve got both a decline bench and a hammer decline machine.

I really liked doing decline bench work. I suspect you will like that.
