This job you have now beats the heck out of that orcha and the water stuff!!!
Funny thing is I’d go back to doin it in a minute if they’d let me Jimmy. Course the wife would probably shot me first.
Work outs have been kind of messed up the last couple of days with all the over time. Hopefully with all the kids back in school now not as many people will be on leave for a few months. Looking forward to tonight cause it’s bench night and Sunday when I can get some squatting in. Did manage to sneak off to the river for a swim last night. Everyone have a good weekend.

Nice work, Hel!
Your comments and observations always crack me up! As for Friday nights at that age … we trained first, drank after. Right next door in fact! ![]()
One of the first gyms I joined was in a strip mall. It had a bar next door and a self-serve laundry on the other side of the bar. It was like one-stop shopping: throw the laundry in the washer, go lift, put the laundry in the dryer, go drink.
On Friday night we went home tired, clean and slightly (or very) tanked. Going to work on Saturday morning was always somewhat of a bitch … sore, tired and hungover.
Those were the days, huh?

My first gym was in Provo, part of the karate studio, I’m afraid I missed out on the beer part of a good workout. Must be why I didn’t add much mass.
Hope you made it through all that rain hel.We need it here but it never made it this far west.
I agree with Skid about taking that messed up workout any day.Nice work.
We’re actually getting some much needed rain here. Nice and steady, no T-Storms.
Been getting the long hours at work plus a lot of stuff happening at the Vets homes. A real brief background for those not familiar with them. Most people don’t live in a vets home if they’ve got somewhere else to go. Our’s here is one of the really good ones run by the state. Mostly more like a nursing home with a bunch of onery old SOBs in it.
Anyway, I, and a lot of my family, do volunteer work there. I cook breakfast every now and then and my brother brings things from his resturant. Usually it just involves giving the guys someone to talk to, BS with, play some cards. When my wife goes with me everyone of them swears they single handedly liberated the Philippines. Make a long story short 2 of our guys died since Saturday so we’ve been spending a little extra time there. Went there again after work today and everythings pretty much back to normal.
Off work tomorrow so plan on being in the gym early. It’s raining but no lightning so if the wife falls asleep before me I may be able to sneak out for a late night swim. Need one.

It be good … what you (and your family) do. Thanks, from someone who doesn’t do enough and needs an occasional reminder that life isn’t all about me. Sorry about the recent losses. That has to be hard on everyone. Good to hear things are getting back to normal again.
Hope you got to grab that swim!
Cappy
I meet a lot of vets as patients (echocardiograms). They do have the most interesting stories to tell. Unfortunately they are now in their 80s.
Snuck in the house last night. Showered in the bathroom farthest from the bedroom. Nice and dry. Silent as a cat. Left all the lights out. Eased into bed. Almost asleep. “Have a nice swim?” We never win.
This morning
Power Cleans
135wu,185x4,205x4,225x3x3
Mil Press
135wu,185x6,205x4,225x2x2
Face pulls
80x12x4
machine rear delt
110x10x4
Lateral raises
45x8x4

I was laughing too hard to type a moment ago! Apparently my wife must have been trained by yours. That has happened to me as well.

Man, made me laugh too.
Looks like a hurricane might hit the coast. Guess I’m not going to Galveston for the Labor Day week-end.
Sorry about loosing a couple of the oldtimers at the VA hospital. Your work is invaluable Sir.
Maybe the hurricane will land Monday and hit the other coast.
Which means I’d better get off to bed so I can do my Saturday work-out early Friday morning instead.

Do you piggyback the press sets on the cleans, Hel, or do them separately?
