I disagree.

This does not look good.

Not many guys would want to look like this… and not many woman would find it attractive…

If the guy asked me what I think id tell him he looks fat. Period.

Would I walk up to him and call him fat? No… but I wouldnt call a random kid skinny either or a fat girl that doesnt lift fat either… unless they asked me my opinion

There is no benefit I can think of with having this mucj extra fat… unless ur a pler
To clarify, when you say you disagree, are you saying you don’t think that’s what “full house” looks like, or am I misunderstanding?

For me, it’s a look I’d be very happy with it. I am a pler, yes, but I don’t appreciate the look due to it’s functional benefit for the sport. I just think it looks good.
I disagree about the fact that no one would call this fat

You can be muscular but also fat… its not one or the other

So yes that guy is big and has some muscles, but he’s also fat hence why id “he is big, and fat”
To be fair though, his point was no one would call him fat to his face, not that no one would say he is fat. I imagine the implication is that no one would call him fat because he is a big goddamn man.
If a skinny 5’6 kid had the worst haircut ever and I didnt know him I wouldnt tell him either…

I wouldnt tell someone his face looks like vomit wether the guy was 130lbs, 300lbs 50%bf or 225lbs full of veins

I personally like the “Full House” look it looks awesome but, I think that you have to be a certain height to pull it off. Top olympic lifters (Russians), strong man athletes, and power lifters like Brandon Lilly can be near or taller than 6 ft. They look powerful and intimidating as fuck. When you are 5’7 or shorter and “Full House” you look like a stumpy box especially in clothing.
Agreed. That is what I go for. I could care less about all abs showing as long as I look “athletic” and fucking huge.

I think I am pretty much like that now…and honestly, this is the ONLY place I hear so much negative shit about it.
Athletic enough to do a lunge???

Wow, once again, the point is that FULL HOUSE, is really muscular with a little more fat than “ideal”.

Not sure what you guys are arguing…other than that you think it’s fat.

Look, people here just stated they like that look…so it is great you have opinion…but so does everyone else.

It isn’t like the whole world or even most cater to your opinion alone.

Most people on the planet would NOT call Kennelly FAT. They would say, “Holy shit, that guy is huge and strong”.

I had a kid yell out in a grocery store after seeing me one day, “Look at that strong man!”.

Guys, we get it, some of you plan to compete,…but not everyone here plans to. Some just want to be really fucking muscular.

That is why all of the talk as if we can only discuss gains if in contest shape have brought the forum down.

We get it. No need to keep telling us how you think everything above 10% is “fat” all of the time.

Didn’t many of us say that if you and some others like the full house look or being 15+% bodyfat then you and some others should go ahead with it.

Wow…didn’t know I needed your approval…which is the point.

Your thoughts don’t really have much to do with my goals…which is why you all seem to be losing the peanut gallery support.

My goal is to be really muscular. My level of leanness desired changes depending on many factors. Most people are NOT going to be the size of Kennelly without bulking up at some point…without early drug use.

Hell, Kennelly isn’t going to be the size of Kennelly without early drug use.

Who said you need my approval? Where did I say or imply this?

You’re right: my thoughts don’t have to do with your goals. Why would they? I’m not advising you on nutrition or training, nor do you give a damn about what anyone say even if the advice they provide is pretty good.

You know, you appear to have pretty bad reading comprehension. Before you said I said someone’s obese when I didn’t. Another time you said that I said that Matt Duval used 10 to 20 times the clinical dosage of juice when I was discussing abuse in general.

And now hear you’re implying that I’m giving you approval when I simply was rebutting your statement that we’re being “negative”.

I truly wonder if you’re this quarrelsome and sarcastic in real life to other grown men. If you are, how does it work?

That came from you feeling the need to tell me that some of you told us to go ahead and do it…like we needed to wait.

This isn’t true at all. There have been years of real debate here that did NOT involve all of this nonsense. I care much about what others say if they can support their stance. The problem lately is you guys choose to resort to personal attacks without actually responding to points made.

I am very sarcastic in real life. Me and CT got along just fine…because he is a sarcastic bastard too.

Deal with it, homie.
Professor X wrote:

It wasn’t a need. It was in response to you constantly stating that we here don’t give a damn if you like being 15+ because you keep saying we’re “negative”.

Unlike you, I’m not a damn control freak.

CT despite being a GREAT writer and trainer isn’t god and you have repeatedly implied that his actions and responses to and critique of you should stop us dead in our tracks with our own thoughts and behavior. I don’t even think he, himself, would want his writings and statements from stopping to think and act for ourselves.
Professor X wrote:

I THINk you watched your style of sarcasm with him as I think you do with other SELF RESPECTING grown men in real life, which is not redirecting or constantly trying to control others thoughts and behavior or intruding upon their conversations or berating them. If you do, I think you choose your targets wisely.

I have as much “right” to say I think this looks fat as you have the right to say it isnt

Why should I not mention I disagree with you here? Cause we already know? Well we also already know you like the “more fat than ideal look”

Didnt realize most people here want the full house look thats my bad sorry

Make a forum called bigger stronger softer maybe

Oh man this thread sure blew up. I’m not sure what all this back and forth is going on for though…it seems to me everyone should just be entitled to their preference. Not everyone wants to be lean and not everyone wants to be fat here. FWIW the picture of powerlifter posted is definitely fat. But if someone is happy like that then so be it.

As long as people are happy with what they have, who are we to judge right? (Goes the other way too, if you want to be fat then so be it, no need to frown on others who think otherwise or impose upon them what you feel strongly about). This kinda resembles religion in a way doesn’t it?

Brick, I think you are missing the original point of the thread: there’s a line that someone crosses where the person goes from being someone you look at and say “that’s a big dude” to “that guy really could stand to lose a few pounds.” I think the debate is simply about where that line should be drawn, with some thinking that you should always be lean and some thinking that something more like 15% or whatever is acceptable.

There really is no debate though

As far as im concerned im saying : the guys on this pics are, IMO, fat

Someone is unhappy at the fact that some people feel like this is fat. No one said “you should never want to be like this ever”

Did I say im prettysure most dont aim for this look? Sure I did and i firmly believe that

I also did say im pretty sure.most girls dont find that look as attractive as the “other” look. Yes I also did

Did I say every man and girl hate this look and it was the devil itself…nop

Nothing else

Why is it a problem.to you that some people state that to them.the pics posted are of fat muscular guys?

Again you are free to say that to you this isnt fat as much as you like but im just as free to state it is whenever you do
