Find it kind of funny that Professor X is required to have a degree in genetics to weigh in, whereas people with total BS certifications, ‘CSCS,’ etc are ‘Experts.’
Also pretty awesome that most of the people calling out PX have academic backgrounds ranging from ‘didn’t go to college’ to ‘got a degree in psychology!’ to ‘will probably hit age 30 before I get an undergrad degree.’
Also interesting that ‘Dentist’ is regarded as a small feat.
Point, but to be honest, he’s the one always throwing out his expertise on whatever is being discussed. I couldn’t care one way or the other (I have friends who are dentists, and I respect the hell out of 'em), but I can also understand why his constant attitude makes him such a polarizing person on here.

?? YOU are the one who asked about my background in genetics. I am also noticing I haven’t seen anyone else mention actually taking genetics in college or working with a published study…yet somehow I supposedly know less than everyone else here?
It’s getting retarded. YOU asked about my background. Don’t get pissed when you actually find out that “dentist” involves way more than you think it does.
So just to recap, you do NOT have a degree in genetics, correct?
Never said I did. That is like saying you need a degree in “anatomy”. It is usually part of a larger degree unless specializing.
Also, good point on the “nuthugging” bullshit. I don’t see anyone else get that thrown at them if they support anyone else.
It is like since they can’t argue the actual content of the message, they have to get personal.
This is a thread where people are willing to set specific limits based off of “estimates” yet will demand anyone contesting the original source of this info have “underwater weighing” and tons of other bullshit.
That isn’t science. It’s a bunch of bro-science from people who apparently can’t back up their stance enough to avoid the personal attacks.

My background applies directly to the topic. Again, how many others here have a formal education in genetics?
In fact, with that attitude, why is anyone who has NOT at least taken genetics in college even discussing this?
Some of you DEMAND anyone even discussing some aspect of bodybuilding compete…yet a topic as advanced as genetics gets discussed by personal trainers and no one questions it? Get real.
This shit has gotten old and it isn’t making any of you look much smarter.

Good eye SS, and we have come to Rules #1-3 in the arguing top ten.
Ignore what was actually written.
Question the reading comprehension of anyone who doesn’t agree with him.
Go off on a rant while saying “some of you/many here/etc…” in order to avoid directly addressing anyone specific.

Weren’t you the one crying about the forum police in the pre-exhaust thread? And here you are wanting to limit this discussion to people who have taken a genetics course.
The people making estimates are basing them on the history of natural bodybuilding. Perhaps you forgot about the observation aspect of science. You are basing your arguments on genetically gifted people who might exist. So who is using bro science?
Hahaha and we have come to Rules #1-2 in the arguing top ten.

And the IQ here decreases again.
people with actual backgrounds in the topics being discussed are now looked down upon if they dare mention it…because they are “only dentists”.
LOL. Nothing can be discussed here much anymore because of people like you and friends. This isn’t the get a life forum.
There is actually lots of great discussions on this board, there was around 5-8 good pages of discussion on this thread before you came thundering back into the picture.
And you dropped your own rule #8 into that whitty comeback…well played.
Call posters “son, kid and guy” or question the posters IQ in an attempt to patronize them.

LOL
Your shtick of trying to be a forum bully is old, as MANY members have pointed out. Yet you think we’re all part of some group conspiring against you. We’re just a bunch of guys who are sick of your stale BS. For the most part, the forum is pretty civil when you are gone. When you come back… well, you know the rest.
But go ahead, tell us how it’s all OUR fault just as you always do.

Your education in genetics doesn’t change the fact that no one that we know of has built 80 lbs of muscle naturally from training (no you don’t count, nothing personal just imo.) It dosn’t change the fact that the BEST of the BEST pro natural bodybuilders of year 2013 have not build 80 lbs of muscle. Let this sink in for a second.

My question is, why I don’t count and why no one else counts if they say they do it?
This has nothing to do with the best of the best natural bodybuilders. Winning a bodybuilding contest is about aesthetics and NOT just sheer mass. Since the biggest guy does not always win, using them as your only source doesn’t make sense.

I doubt most humans will gain 150lbs of muscle naturally.

LOLOLOLOL!
ya think?
How can you know for sure that no human being can teleport themselves… we havent sampled the whole planet and even if we did maybe someone would just “fake” not being able to
Genetics are powerfull
So now that you, Z, made a big hullaballoo about how we all need to put X on ignore, are you just waiting around for someone to quote him so that you can respond?

Do you honestly feel that if you never touched a weight that you would only be 130 lbs? at 5’10? Most females at 5’10 weigh 130 lbs untrained.
Now, my question is, if someone can actually focus on what I just wrote above and respond to it without the personal attacks on at least some level that isn’t juvenile.

?? What does this have to do with anything? I was 18 years old and didn’t grow in height more after that. That is what counts more than anything.
You’ve stated that the natural bodybuilding population is a poor sample of the actual population because it’s faulty to assume that the best genetically gifted bodybuilders would even decide to stay natural in the first place.
Assuming that is true, and assuming it’s true that you’ve packed on more than this 80 lbs of muscle we’re discussing, aren’t you basically saying that you have better muscle building capabilities than the best natural bodybuilders in the world?

you do realize that some men (adults) have tiny frames that are basically the size of a woman’s frame???
