Thib's Creatine Advice

I had tried many many creatine products in the past. Most of them are just hype and crap. Creatine orotate gave me best results and was better than mono but I think the cost is not worth it for LITTLE extra benefit.

Creatine mono is way to go if you wanna take. Cheap, effective, proven. 5g/ed or loading…no signifficant difference of results(strength, endurance, recovery) just “kick in time” difference. There are no best/magic protocol.

but…But!!! You DO NOT need creatine at all to build muscle mass. You can build quality muscle without it.
Creatine is not muscle builder. You MIGHT look “full” when you take it but that’s it.
When you use as a “performance enhancement” supp when you compete, it MIGHT help a LITTLE but that’s it.
I don’t take creatine nowadays after years of try&error and feel it is overrated with NO products, waxy maze etc…

Creatine is not overrated or overhyped like NO products. Its one of the few supplements that actually work. And it does more than just fill your muscles. By volumizing yours cells, it can actually stimulate protein synthesis, and the realease of various growth factors like IGF-1. There are even some studies that show it can stimulate GH release. Far from just a cell volumizer.

Hey forbes, please read carefully.
I DID NOT say it’s a total waste or recommend not taking. It actually works but not so much than on paper in real. I meant many people expect too much thing from creatine and look for brand new “exotic creatine” like CEE which is overhyped so just take 5g of creatine mono you cannot go wrong.

Of cource, I know all kind of things you wrote. I am NOT creatine hater but I still, believe spend more money for whole foods, vitamins and minerals, quality protein like Biotest products, fish oil etc… PLUS hard, smart, consistent training and diet will give same or more results (keepable gains) because I learned from my EXPERIENCE.

Again, it works but does not build muscle by itself.

Thank you stating the obvious.

(sarcasm intended)

Hmmm, I don’t think the statement is not clear but english is 2nd language for me so if I would fix it,
“It actually does something for your body but not at the level of many people believe nor cutting edge creatine formula supplement label claims nor even a lot of study shows.” or
“It might help a little but nothing is noticeable for at least other people eye unless he/she is BB judgement expert/professional or very close friend/family who also loves lifing weights.”

I am not an authority on creatine nor wikipedia editor and everyone can try it and see how to react their body easily so I don’t want to definite what creatine is repeatedly anymore lol

Therefore here are CT’s thoughts on creatine from his training Q&A thread.
I feel the same way but he explains better than me so please listen to him.

"I almost fell asleep reading your question. Creatine is soooooo 1990s. It is a very boring subject to me and everything to be said about it has been said, including whether or not it is useful or acceptable with teenagers.

Here’s my take on creatine…

  • It is not as effective as many believe (especially the general public) that it is.
  • It is not as harmful as the same general public believe… in fact it is pretty much devoid of side effects in healthy individuals.
  • It will not turn you into a muscle monster overnight or make you break world records. In fact, it will not add a significant amount of muscle directly.
  • It will increase work capacity and strength to some extent. Basically creatine allows you to do a bit more work and recover a bit faster. YOU have to take advantage of this if you want to benefit from creatine.
  • Creatine is just as safe physiologically for a teenager as it is for an adult. BUT if the teenager is taking it for the wrong reason (a quick fix, a way to bypass years of training, etc. which it isn’t anyway) then it can be a psychological issue that might need to be addressed.

But yeah, it is safe. And it can help slightly."

That’s all you had to say, holmes.

Why are you angry? Did I say something hurt you?
If so, I apologize and I never intended to and never will.

I just shared MY EXPERIENCE as well as other members.

  • Creatine definitely works but not so much
  • Exotic creatine doesn’t work (of course I tried)
  • Creatine orotate was slightly better than monohydrate (from my experience)
  • But creatine monohydrate is totally winner, cheap, proven
  • Timing (when to take) is not big factor
  • Still, smart training and diet is the key to growth (so we all are here)
  • I think basic supp (MVM, fish oil)is more important than creatine

I just said these things as you read my previous post.
I never said “you should” or something like that.
If only authority were welcome in this thread, I feel very sorry.
