Either way it was hard and I have a whole new respect for all those annoying fucking circuit people. This was very humbling and I am in bad shape.
Also my forearms WERE KILLING ME, especially after RDL’s each set. Must be a grip weakness thing or something.

OH I had a GREAT dream about turtles!

I was living on some beach front property and there was a bunch of dying turtles that kept coming up onto shore or something so I started feeding them and rescuing them and stuff. It was weird. I don’t even know what turtles eat. I gave them carrots and apples…
Though once a GIANT green frog hopped onto my face and it stuck on there, that was freaky.
But all the turtle stuff was awesome. I love turtles. And not just the TMN variety…

I have some advice kinda for your wt loss plateauing. Have you tried blasting in the protein? Its an easy way to kinda slowly change your body., but once it gets to gets going you’ll see changes in how your muscles look vs wt loss so I feel its more rewarding. Go for 200 grams a day everyday if you can. If you’re already doing this then keep it up! It will make a difference!

ALSO…if you’re ready for the big guns and have that fire to do it, I’ve found cardio a must. to get the depletion thing really activated. Its not a popular thing o say but it works. Figure chicks do their lion share of freaking cardio, EVERYDAY…its awful but for getting depletion going I found its what it took. SS can do it like a charm…old school but still works.

Hard to get in that mindset though and a real trade off if you thrive on strength training, but once you do its got that whole cardio endorphin buzz that will drive you on. Just remember its short term cardio madness if you just wan tot cut wt.

I don’t know if you have ever considered it, have any aversion to it, or have tried it and don’t like it, but I think you would LOVE olympic lifting.

I think your high motor, high volume, high maintenance approach would translate well, and I think you would thrive in it.

I could be wrong, but I wanted to throw my 2 cents in.

  1. You can do something everyday.
  2. You can mix up what you do.
  3. You’re a perfectionist and you’ll need perfect form. (Something you could totally do.)

Spock training looks good, regarding the every 2 to 3 year thing it’s gotta be the name, it’s like pon farr. My scientific suggestion would be to change your name to kirk and you’d have an entirely different love life.

A few years ago I lived near a chapters and my kid and I would go there often so he could play with trains while I read books. I typically went to the self-help section right off the bat…
One day I found a book called “from panic to power” and it literally changed my life. I had no idea that other people had the same brain issues that I had. Or that my issues were actually like, a “thing”. I mean, I knew I had anxiety disorder, but I didn’t know that my thoughts were the exact same thoughts that other people had and just reading about it made me feel a lot better. So unlike all the other books I read there, this was actually a book I purchased. ALSO, unlike all the other books I owned, this was a book I actually READ and swore by. I followed all the steps and filled out all the stupid questionaire thingies (apparently my anxiety was on the extreme end of the spectrum), and I became a better person because of it. It couldn’t have come at a better time either, my anxiety was at the point where I’d drop a tee towel on the ground and I would literally beome enraged. OH FUCK I CAN’T BELIEVE THAT SHIT HAPPENED!
Or I wouldn’t get the line on the end of my sock perfectly in line with my toes and it would drive me MENTAL.
But after a few months with this book I was almost 100% cured. I NEVER had heart palpitations and I could talk myself off of every ledge. I was able to become my own “safe place”.

But then I lent the book to this stupid fucking co worker who refused to do anything other than bitch about her life but never do anything to fix it, and I never got it back.
Slowly but surely the “old me” crept back and I totally lost that other calm, sane person. I honestly forgot she ever even existed. But it occured to me the other day that I’ve gotten as bad as I was back then. Like who gets a 5 hour long panic attack because their weights clanked or something? I got extremely angry over dropped a hand towel yesterday and I knew something needed to change.
So I walked to chapters and re bought that book and I am hoping if I follow the steps I can once again become somewhat sane.

We’ll see.
That is an overly long post, but I’m just warnin’ ya’ll, I may very well calm the fuck down in the not-so-distant future! :smiley:
