Debated as to whether or not I was actually going to start a new log already, but I was just so excited to use my Batman quote I couldn’t help myself!

UPDATE DEC. 2nd 2012:
Finished my first meet with a total of 556, probably left a good 50lbs on the platform!
GOALS: To be way stronger than that next time…
Training: I made up this program that goes like Bench day, Squat day, Military press day, intervals, Bench, Deadlift, Military, intervals, etc…
Couple weeks of 8 reps, then 5-6, 4-5, 3, 2, repeat.
Accessory shit is usually like good mornings, front squats, incline bench, close grip bench, random shoulder shit, bicep/tricep brotastic stuffs, ya. OH and ab things.
Bestest most productive training program I’ve ever been on really!

Btw from the end of your last log you talking about being weak, I have literally never in person seen a woman bench 135 or more. I don’t have PL meet experience but I’ve been in many a gym, so you’re at least ahead of about 99% of the female population there. Dunno if you remember Hallowed from this site, but she recently spoke of accomplishing her lifetime bench press goal of 135 pounds. So don’t sell yourself short.

Hey Spock! Dropping into the new log to say hi and keep it up. I was sorta lurking in your old log for a while. It got pretty weird sometimes… But it was certainly the most interesting thing on TNation imo. So congrats on that! Seems like you doubt yourself way too much though. Maybe that’s how you got so strong cuz you kept thinking that you weren’t? I dunno.

Quick story: I went to a little local bench contest thing a while back. There was a girl division, and it was the most pitiful thing I have ever seen. Out of like six girls, five of them basically “bombed out”, and one girl benched like 95lbs which was actually pretty impressive cuz I think it was her skinny ass body weight. You could have made them look so weak people would have thought you were like an alien or something.

Anyway… you seem like a really good mom and a strong lifter, so keep up the good work! It’s nice to see someone else in powerlifting who is almost as nerdy as I am.

Now I understand what ya’ll are saying about me not being weak and whatnot, but I guess I just feel weak compared to myself. Or weak because things that felt heavy still feel heavy and usually my lifts feel like they’re going down instead of up.

BUT YA. I got some things to work on cause it’s not like I wanna stop doing the main lifts, I just want to stop sucking at them.

I need to squat more so I can squat better me thinks. Not sure how to fix bench because my arm going numb isn’t really a weakness. There is some kinda kinky whatever in my back that i think is fucking up my bench. Maybe that will just go away in time.
ALSO NEW GYM FLAW: WEird benches. THey have those like curvy pins so I can’t just slide the bar out or whatever and it will take some getting used to.

Bascially my last workout at my old gym went like this:
Woke up said fuck it I give up powerlifting/I hate life. Said fuck you self you have two days left until deload suck it up.
Could barely pull 205. I think I got a really ugly double or something. Almost started crying. Went to do BBB squats, could do like 115 x 3. Decided I had to leave so I could have an emotional breakdown.
Picked my kid up from the babysitting and he started crying cause it was too early to go home, so then I started crying and all these guys who would be hot if they weren’t crossfitters saw me and UHGGG. It was a diasaster.

But ya, past is in the past I guess. I just don’t understand why I can’t get ANY STRONGER EVER!! :confused:

So kid was sleeping at daddy’s and I told him a million times to call me cause I was a nervous wreck and I wanted to say goodnight. So I kept kinda waiting for the phone to ring and watched a movie with my mommy.
WELL, he called my cell number and I didn’t answer cause I never heard it. UHGGGGGG HE left me this voicemail that sounded SO SAD like one of those thingies in those child kidnapping movies just to let the parents know their child is still alive and SCARED.
He is going to be so mad at me. ! Here I was telling him over and over to call and he does and I DON’T ANSWER!!!
HE called TWICEEEEEEEEE
His voicmail was like “mommy…I jsut wanted to say…I just wanted to say…” END OF VOICEMAIL.

Front squats are amazing. Learn to love’em.

Good luck with the whole learning to swim thing. Can’t remember if I mentioned this in the last pages of the last log, but it can be tough to learn as an adult. Some people just have a real hard time getting comfortable in the water (like me).

Also, I’ve noticed sometimes that if I get a shitty sleep, it’s not the next day that it hits me, it’s the subsequent days. See how you feel tomorrow haha.
