Lethargy is a pretty ubiquitous side effect of low carbohydrate diets even after an initial adjustment period (that’s why people backload them!). Also it will deplete the glycogen in your muscles. Ingesting 1700 calories of sugar will yield very different physiological sensations than 1700 calories of steak.

I am going to assume that my tired-ness is a mixture of going on the pill/fighting off something/lower carb than I am used to.

I am SUB 100grams right now amd before I was probably like 250 or some shit…

I also feel like since I am not powerlifting my anixety issues have all magically disappeared. I’m calm all day about everything.
I’m also totally not horny in any way, nor am I excited about anything.

I think powerlifting sends my cortisol totally outta whack and that’s why it makes me so fat-ish.

I dunno, I just don’t think it’s “good” for me.

Those are somewhat common side effects of birth control (it regulates hormones). Given the fact it started happening at the exact time you started taking it, I’m changing my answer.

Keep tabs on your state of mind. The positives (loss of anxiety) may not outweigh the negatives (loss of joy).

I vote for the cardio cutting your anxiety…its not popular to say but here’s a for sure endorphin high that lasts pretty long with cardio hense so many happy bunnies.

As for the lack of joy, its probably the dieting. It will pass though–and I bet you’ll feel more of a sex drive once you start seeing the changes your diet will do to your body. Confidence is a huge turn on for everyone–especially the one who has it.

Also you could just be leveling out from the lack of anxiety over pl stuff, being so high strung for a long time is exhausting but its also a change your body’s gotta get used to. Its accustomed to being high stress/anxiety and now its not so much which is a big change and exhausting as well.

I assure you I’m not trolling as 1 I have better things to do with my time, and 2 I genuinely care about Miss Jenn and her health. We are facebook friends, so I guess you could say things are pretty serious.

I have seen more than one person eat low or no carbs and suffer fatigue. It was worth asking. 1700 does not equal 1700 regardless, but you’re welcome to try it. Just try it with one meal, lets say breakfast.
If you eat steak and eggs with a piece of toast and milk you’ll feel great and grab life by the balls.
If you eat some poptarts and crunch 'n bunch cereal you’ll be hungry again in an hour and feel like shit.
You can eat 7 boxes of poptarts and you won’t feel as good as you do with quality food.

Now no, it doesn’t explain her sore throat, but when I was in the Army and had to skip meals I felt like ass and got sick. Might be some pro hoc reasoning and not true causality, but whatever.

To sum up, no I am not trolling, and yes I do think that what you eat matters to a degree.

I really don’t do cardio, but just keeping my rest periods short I can tell I’m in no where near as bad as shape as I was.
