hilarious, this reminds me of the mtv made episode which was recently posted in the forums, where a borderline gay fat kid became a “bodybuilder” in eight weeks and competed - despite the fact that he was still fat and one couldn’t see a single muscle…
what I hate about bodybuilding most is the perception of the general public, not that I really gave a shit but the ignorance of people who think that muscular guys are just stupid meatheads who can’t do anything “intelligent” and that’s the reason they lift weights
If you train with the intention of one day stepping on stage, you are a bodybuilder. If you have no intention if getting onstage then you aren’t a bodybuilder.

the fact the most people who gets into that are not interesting
This statement is just… weird.
let me explain this. I am gonna offend a lot of people now
For me, an interesting person is cultivated, different and genuine
The way I see it, most of the people who hangs out at gyms are douchebags. It take a certain kind of person to be attracted at first by curls ,NOxplode commercials and stuff like that.

So someone who does curls and uses NOxplode can’t be cultivated, different and genuine? Biggest dude in my gym does both, and is the nicest most helpful guy I have spoken with in person about this to date. We don’t talk about cars either…
I think dealing with elitist losers who can’t pull their nose out of their ass, looking down on others because they do and act differently in the gym, are the hardest part of BB.

hat the fuck? You are trying to bring me down on part of what I wrote? If you didnt delete the other part of my post your response wouldnt make sense
looks like you don’t get it. The fact that you do curl and take NOxplode does not say anything. I was trying to describe one kind of person and this is part of the BIG PICTURE I am trying to give
I bet the biggest guy in your gym do other excercise beside of curl. He doesnt talk about cars. Therefore, he is not concerned about the description I made
You really have a problem. If you want to fix your frustration for being a failure it would be better to go see a psychologist than trying to nitpick people on forums.

If you are not an unapologetic muscle-building elitist, then why are you in this forum? You should leave to BB.com

The Intelligent and Relentless Pursuit of Muscle includes doing curls dumbass.
Hard to be an unapologetic muscle-building elitist when your too elite to do what works.

Part of the reason i like coming to the forums is Prof x’s posts. He just baits people into arguing with him.It work and he comes out on top everytime. Makes for some fun reading.
Id like to see a argument which he actually lost.Fuck, i think he even scared Chad Waterbury away.

I’m pretty sure I’ve mopped the floor with him a couple times.

Yeah, the pale guy is a bodybuilder, just not a very good one. The guy overhead pressing the buick works out a lot, is very big and very strong.
Really, really simple.
I’m not a bodybuilder, I ‘bodybuild’ myself. Out of all the ridiculous things about the sport, the fake tans are the worst for me.
And another one to add (trying to embed, but in case it doesnt work): http://www.marunde-muscle.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=5600&d=1188526834
Derek Poundstone, america’s strongest man, over 300 and lean in these photos. is he a bodybuilder? Better not tell him that. Read the fourth post here:
http://www.marunde-muscle.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9053
or for those who don’t want to click, in response to a joke about, “good luck beating cutler” derek writes:
“I don’t know if your trying to be serious, but don’t call me a bodybuilder!!”
Seems there may be more than one way to look at this…

Baited? If I hadnt wanted to argue, why would I have posted what I did? He’s essentially preaching to the converted, seeing as how most of the people here don’t compete, but consider themselves bodybuilders. Not too much of a challenge there, I just want to hear his rationale, other than that it’s his opinion.
How about Tim Pitka, who just won his pro card in the int’l natural bb fed. He works out at my gym. He goes 5’8" and competes at (I believe he told me) 160-165 lbs. Shredded, great conditioning, but if you saw him outside the gym in a t-shirt, you might think he had big arms and not much more. If he was wearing sweats you wouldnt know he works out.
So he’s not a bodybuilder because he’s not a mass monster? Seems there are some bodybuilding judges who would disagree. Trying to embed the photo, but in case that doesnt work, the first link should open up a full size photo, the second link has the contest writeup
KBC you have go to drop it because no one cares. It’s a stupid argument, and in all honesty it is subjective. I think a bodybuilder is someone who looks to pack on massive amounts of muscle with or without sacrificing body fat. If they look like Tim, that’s fine. But you don’t deserve the term bodybuilder until you can crush an apple with your lats.
Also, another pet peeve of mine is getting called out for my persistence to a strict diet. I got asked the question at work “Why are you eating tuna? There is cake right there.”
