LOL. I donāt feel like anyone changed a ton. I think it just shows once youāve been training a really long time it gets hard to make progress.
That said I do think Iām leaner with a little better shoulders, arms, and chest now. Slightly depressing thatās 5 years of training though.
For sure, especially if physique changes arenāt your priority but check back on your PRs from then until now though. No doubt theyāll be significant.

I was nervous as I scrolled down to look at my comparison photo from ā17 to ā21, because ā17 was the leanest Iāve managed to get.
I will say, Iām not as disappointed as I thought I would be. Thanks for sharing, Chris.
In that time, strength has been the primary focus and Iāve managed a lot of a strength PRs since ā17, so thatās a win.
@littlesleeper You were leaner, but you didnāt lose anything. You still look good. You look like you have more muscle. Itās still a good look.

Same here. I have 2 kids now and muuuuch less time to train productively (basically have to fit it in after everyone else goes to the sleep when Iām dead tired) so it was kind of nice to see I have mostly held on to everything from back when I was training probably twice as much time wise.
Next year both kids will be in school to an extent so maybe Iāll really focus on the contest. But we all know thatās mostly diet related so maybe I donāt have as great an excuse as I like to think haha
