The T-ransformation challenge was created to get the forum together and push ourselves to achieve something more. The kind of physique transformation that too many lifters talk about and too few follow through on.
In January , more than 60 of us started the 21-week process. Barely more than half were able to stick it out to the end, and the results of those who successfully tackled the challenge are below.
Cast your vote for the best transformation, remembering that “transformation” is in the eye of the beholder. This isn’t necessarily a “fat loss challenge”, so keep that in mind when choosing the winner.
Be sure to also vote for the Most Improved , where competitors who finished the 2018 challenge compare their current selves to their previous versions, and we can see who put in the most work over the long-term.
All voting will close at 3:00pm EST, Friday June 7. That’s 4 solid days to pick the winners.

High all. Goals are sub 200lbs by end of June. Fix triglycerides and get stronger.
History: wrestled in HS. Messed around with weights on and off since then. Never dialed in diet for more than 3 months at a time. I tend to let it fall to the wayside when work and obligations get stressful. Wrist and shoulder injuries sidelined upper body for roughly 6 months. Still slowly working back up. Have also torn rib cartilidge in my chest and back at one point or another. These are all BS excuses for …

I have been very poor at keeping a log.
I have been training and competing in powerlifting for around 6 years. I have decided to diversify a bit. I have recently picked up the hobby of rock climbing, and have also chosen my first strongman competition. It is in Oregon on March 18th. I am a very poor overhead presser and struggle a bit with my conditioning, so I feel like strongman will force me to address these issues.
I will try to do better keeping a log as I feel my recovery and training wi…

(Original intro - December 2017)
Midway through my plan to make #50thenew30, I’m looking to accelerate the process by joining the T-Nation Transformation 2018 Challenge.
My goal is to have a body that can keep up with the 20-something and 30-something guys I train with in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. So both strength and conditioning are important. In 2018, I’ll be doing a version of 5/3/1 twice a week, BJJ training 2-3x a week, and a supplemental conditioning/recovery session (LSD-based) once a week …

I’ve decided to start a log to record my training and hopefully gain some interest and get help from others.
About me, I’m currently following a routine I made myself, it’s loosely based on starting strength and I plan to run it until I go to university at the end of September.
I’m 18 years old, 5’10" and about 180lbs (82kg) give or take a few. I started training in my garage with a few weights a couple years ago and bulked up a bit while growing at the same time (was around 140lbs at 15). In …

^ Another one of my favorite bodybuilding pics of all time because, random Mickey Mouse.
Since some folks got their logs off to an early start, I figured I’d toss it up now too. Updates will again likely be somewhat sporadic (because I still work for a living dammit), but if you dudes are in, I’m in.
My T-ransformation 2017 log tracked going from furry/no abs to slightly less furry/abs in the right lighting. Feel like I’m on track for moderately furry/consistent abs this go…

Edit: Transformation is over. Didn’t quite hit my goal. Current goal is to hit 2 plates on OHP, 3 on Front Squat and 5 on DL. I’m reasonably close to them and think at the end of the year is feasible.
Well, here we go. Hopefully all the trash talking with bob and others will keep me motivated to stick to this until June 1.

Welcome to my log, I will be using this log as a place to keep my thoughts and observations over the next few months, so expect pictures, food and training updates, nothing major exciting but hopefully I can get in the best shape I’ve been in.
I spent the most of 2016 rebuilding and trying to get back to where I was in early 2015. The best shape I have been in was early 2015, in April of that year I had testicular surgery, which although was fairly routine and straight forward it hit me hard, I…

After a long absence I decided to start logging my training here again, even if it’s just once a week for my own benefit and for anyone else interested.
I’ve made some significant changes to my training and diet in the last twelve weeks.
I joined a small garage strongman/powerlifting gym in Adelaide (south australia) and it fucking kicks ass. One tiny mirror, heaps of bands and chains and stones and kegs, farmers handles and sleds. No more waiting for bro’s to get out of the squat rack, just t…
