Is that a St. Wilhelm’s shirt?

Hell yes it is. Kurt started it over on Sherdog.

Nice pull Donut62 (nice avatar too!) I am very envious of some of the faclities you guys have in the US! It seems like most high schools have acess to better kit than have the uni’s here in the UK!!

And Ireland!!

Missed it today in a weird way, everything felt good, but I think my grip might have been off and I just quit on it. It was weird. I think I might have rushed it a bit and screwed that part up. Everything else was fine, set up wise.

I might give it another go next week, then start back up.

Did 535 today in the USPF Push/Pull meet here in Webster NY. No shake, no hitch, no problem! Slow and steady is what it is gonna take for me, but one day.

601

^^Nice one!!^^

And monster calves too…

Quality pull ChaseT. Maybe more in the tank?

Off topic;

Hanley will you be at the WDFPA Euro’s this june? I’ll be lifting unequipped on the saturday but will be spectating on the sunday. It was hard to find bnb’s but am staying in Ballybay.

I have added pin pulls to my routine and love them but had a weird problem last night. I was doing them from about 2 inches beneath my knee. I did my usual warm up and went on to my work set. Last week I did 4 sets of 4 at 495 lbs and nailed all my reps. So this week my program had me on 4 sets of 5 at the same weight.

After the first set I felt a little tight in my left glute so I stretched it out before my next set. I got through my second set and when I set the weight down both glutes completely cramped up. It was so painful and I couldn’t stetch it out. I know that I was properly hydrated (I drink water all day while working) and stretched. It was so bad after 15 minutes of trying to stretch it out I eventually just left the gym. Anyone ever had this happen? Any ideas why it happened?

Hey man, the location’s pretty shit to be honest. It’s in the back arse of nowhere so I’m not surprised you had trouble. It’s only an hour or so drive up the road from Dublin, so it’s handy for me but for you lads coming over it’s a bit crap.

I’m not lifting this time around, just didn’t work out well for me time wise. I’m doing an IPO meet in late July instead. I was planning on definately going up on Sunday to watch, but If I could get a decent place for Saturday night I’d probably go up in the morning and stay for the weekend and take it all in.

So yup, I will be there. You’re lifitng at 90kg right?

NICE!! You definitely look like you have more in the tank, too - certainly much nicer than my 600 was!

I finally got my 600 today! I haven’t posted in this thread before, but figured I would just for the heck of it. Of course, it was only a gym lift and won’t be official til my meet at the end of June

Hit 515 today after 5 months of nothing for a 15lb PR. Hopefully, I busted this plateau.

Congrats Dave and Chase!

Thanks. I’ve been doing Sheiko training for the last seven months and was in the unusual situation of having missed a squat day and was a bit fresher than usual, so I decided to go for 600. I might’ve been able to get more, but 601 was enough for that day. I have some nice red-eye going on from blood vessels that broke during one of my 601 attempts (first one was stiff-legged with a slight hitch).

Thanks Matt. I’m looking forward to this meet - it’ll be hilarious… I’ll be squatting in full gear (double ply briefs, suit, knee wraps), but benching and deadlifting raw =p

You got a meet planned? I know you just came off one, and your numbers looked awesome.

Cool. Yes I am lifting in the 90’s. Should see you there then at some point!

Sweet man, can’t wait to see the vid.

I was thinking of doing the USAPL RAW Nationals, but decided against it. I’d only have 10 weeks of training since my last meet and I’m only really interested in some serious PRs.

I’m thinking around 5 months from now or sometime in December. What meet are you doing?

Might not be a video… I’m going to be the only person from my team there. Everyone else bailed out :frowning: It’s going to be the APF Summer Bash in Chicago. Should be a good time - hopefully, some big names will show up.

After that’ll be WABDL Collegiate Nationals in St. Louis in late September. What meets were you looking into?
