I never realy did get into Dead Kennedys. They arent that bad but it’s just not my style. Although, Nazi Punks F#&# off is a good song.
Bad religion was a big disapointment live. The singer kept on bashing George Bush and ranting about the war to a bunch of kids that can’t even vote. I came to see a punk show not a Political speech. They played mostly new songs which were slow and kind of boring. I would have liked to see them during the 80’s.
SOIA is great live. Probably the best live show ever.
Dropkick Murphys are also great live. I saw SOIA abd Dropkick together which was a great show.
One that I don’t think has been mentioned yet H2O. They put on a good show and their old stuff is realy good.

enjoy… prepare to get offended (thats the point of this one)
Descendents - 'merican: Merican - The Descendents - YouTube

Ha ha I find this amusing. I am not democrat, nor am I republican, nor am I green wtf third party. I am however fairly conservative, believing in small federal government, strong state governments, and the right of the people to run their own lives.
So explain how this is supposed to offend? Its simply stating that to be proud you must accept all that America has done, good and bad.
Or you must be thinking rush limbaugh haunts these forums…
if so, screw you rush.

He does… trust me.
I’ll add in some of the poppier stuff.
Lagwagon - LEGENDARY!!!
No Fun At All (I believe I listed them earlier, but they go into this category well
Face To Face - you would have had to slept through the 90s to not have heard this song… . poor quality, my apologies
The Dingees - sometimes fun to just sit and listen to these guys, they are just a bit poppier than most punk rock
Pulley - heavier than most pop stuff but still great
Millencolin - I shouldn’t have to say much about these guys
Strung Out - Pop Punk and metal had a baby, strung out was its child
A Wilhelm Scream - The king is dead - YouTube +++++
A wilhelm scream, similar story to strung out’s
Nerf herder - kind of a joke band, but you can appreciate it once in awhile
River City Rebels - love em. PS. you know this vid is old, there is a punk wearing an anti-flag shirt!
Strike Anywhere - Going to see them with propagandhi in a few months…

SOIA, Madball, and H2O are my favorite live bands. When they play together its even better.
loving this thread, almost forgot about some of these bands. Strung out are fucking awesome live.
So I’m going to start the “I hate the scene now” rant. Whats up with all these sherbangs with tophawks? Why are there 800 kids at a punk/hardcore show? I went to shows growing up and there would be a MAXIMUM of like 30-40 kids at a show for the bigger bands! WTF IS HAPPENING!?!?
Also, why to bands not stand for anything anymore? At “merch” table it used to be nothing but e.p’s and literature regarding stuff the band stood for (veganism, straight edge, anti-consumerism, anti-government, etc.)… now bands don’t stand for anyting except for being “tough” (which they aren’t) and selling booty shorts to 14 year old boys who think they’re tough as well.
I stopped going to shows, because this “anti-culture” has turned just as bad (and often worse) than everything else.

I thought Anti-Flag was from Portland Oregon. Either way they suck.

Bwahahahahahahahaha!!!
True. So very true.
I’m surprised at the lack of love for the true pioneers of the genre in this thread.
Oh wait… No I’m not.

Boo fuckin hoo
WTF, punks? Does no one else like the Sex Pistols? FOR SHAME!!! When “Nevermind the Bollocks, Here’s the Sex Postols” was released in England, there WAS no “number 1” listed in the British Pop charts that week! Johnny Rotten and Paul Cook were stabbed by a gang because of the song “God Save the Queen”. I don’t care what anyone says, they are original punk. ![]()

How is PA the land of anti-flag? Anti-flag sucks, and as far as I know that is a pretty well accepted statement… except for some 12-year-old “anarchists”.
I saw Sick of it All with Pennywise at the Masquerade in Atlanta. The SOIA drummer threw a frozen bottle of water which bounced off my head and hit my friend in the head.

I’m just saying, I’ve never experienced anything similar to what you said about punk shows
maybe you need to stop attending fall out boy concerts?
