I’ll open this up with black flag - drinking and driving
:
MDC - I remember
Anyone else?
1/2 hardcore + 1/2 death metal = grind core. Pig Destoryer. Prowler in the yard is one of the best albums ever.
Here are the hardcore and punk bands I used to like:
Agnostic Front (they really turned to shit though; Roger’s voice now sounds like he has marbles in his mouth)
Exploited (all-time favorite)
Discharge
DRI
Black Flag
Circle Jerks
Bad Religion
GBH
UK Subs
Minor Threat
Dead Kennedys (although Jello can take his radical leftist beliefs and shove it!)
Cramps (not exactly punk though)
Social Distortion (again, not exactly punk but came out of that scene)
Litmus Green
you can get all their MP3 streamed if you google them but theres nothing on Youtube except for a few things
<-----thinks Dead Kennedys are overrated
Turbonegro, one of my favorite bands right now. considered “death punk” so ill put them up
There is no hardcore punk without raised fist:
REFUSED cannot be ignored, legendary band: Coup D'etat - YouTube
I know you like Agnostic Front Zephead, so I don’t even need to list
Turbonegro is great
The 21st Impact, lesser known but can get the blood flowing: The 21st Impact - YouTube
Then for punk…
Propagandhi: propagandhi "Dear Coach's Corner" - YouTube easily one of the best bands out there right now…
I could put a million youtube videos on here, but you get the point…
and just for the conservative hardliner dickweeds on this forum
enjoy… prepare to get offended (thats the point of this one)
Descendents - 'merican: Merican - The Descendents - YouTube
The following bands (along with the ones Bricknyce mentioned previously) comprised the soundtrack of my life in the early through mid 80s:
Husker Du
Deadboys
Bad Brains
Crass
Anti Nowhere League
Flipper
Damned
Agent Orange
Suicidal Tendencies

I like this kind of Drinking and Driving more… ;D
Dillinger Four, a big punk band in the midwest
Against All Authority, a kickass ska-punk band from Florida that unfortunately is on some sort of extended hiatus. I saw them live twice, some of the best shows I have ever been to.
Jawbreaker … legendary, need I say more? Unfortunately unwanted attention from MCR and Fallout Boy fans have surfaced. (Its actually surprising the singers of those bands actually listen to some decent older punk, they did grow up with it afterall.)
Capdown, great UK ska-punk
Common Rider, Jesse Michaels from OP IVY sings for them… great stuff. Kind of just chill, jam punk.
Deadline, female punk singer… one of the only ones I like, even though she looks kind of like a dog…
The Ducky Boys, great sing along street punk
The Flatliners, great toronto ska-punk… saw em live once, brother saw em a few months ago said they were great still
Fucked Up. Their show changed my life… easily one of the best modern hardcore bands to DATE.
Do some research on them too, their past is for a lack of a better term… fucked up.
Lagwagon, who doesn’t listen to them when they’re in some sort of strange mood? Theyre the best moody music
No Fun at all, a lot of fun…
Straight Faced… extremely hardcore punk rock. Makes you grit your teeth and slaughter innocents
And thats all I’ve got tonight
The Replacements
Husker Du
Minor Threat
Big Black
X
Wire
The Fall
Television/Richard Hell
The MC5
The Stooges
Minutemen
The Clash
The Misfits
Fucked Up
