The fuck does this have to do with training to get as BIG and HUGE as possible? How is this relevant to getting 20"+ arms and putting on 100 lbs of muscle?
Not really sure why this thread was posted in the BODYBUILDING forum, where threads are about BODYBUILDING…
Gee, if bodybuilding advice is wasted because these bastards don’t understand the basics, maybe we should be focusing on that a little. I posted it here because that person commented in my thread here. The topic is also bodybuilding related.
It would not be allowed to focus on building muscle as a main goal if it were in the Get a life forum as everyone can comment ab out anything.

Prof X, don’t you have better things to do? …
?
In the last 40min I just surgically extracted 6 teeth buried deep in the mouth of a patient and delivered a prosthesis…all done today in the last 2 hours. I don’t have a problem doing “better things” and still logging in. I think the real question is why people like you think this is impossible.

I don’t mean logging into the website, i mean starting threads bitching about people. Slightly sad, you must live a fulfilled life.

I do.
Problem?
Let me ask…how many people have you helped today? What have YOU accomplished?
The truth is, if you really knew me, it would probably just piss you off even more. I’m not coming up short, buddy…but you…well, we’ll just have to wait to hear about what makes you so far above me you can call me “sad”.

Nothing special about me, and neither did i claim there to be. The problem with you, mate, is that you seem to think you’re above pretty much everyone else.
And secondly, you helped people today right? You’re a dentist if i’m correct, so you helped them by taking their teeth out etc? Correct me if i’m wrong but dentists get a fairly good wage, successful career. But how many people would you help if you wasn’t getting paid for it?

Quite a few considering that was why I went into the military which was a large pay cut in salary.
Any more questions completely unrelated to the fucking topic?
You called me out. I didn’t call you out and you are the one throwing the insults. How can someone like you call me sad?
You haven’t done shit in life yourself. Hell, you may be just what this topic is about…which may be why you are so upset.

Not a complete pay cut though? And it was related, helping people doesn’t matter if you’re getting paid. Hell, i’d help people if i got paid. No i haven’t achieved much in life, but then maybe it’s because my head isn’t as far up my own ass is yours is so that when i do something i don’t see myself as the saviour of the world. And yeah maybe i did “call you out”, but how many people do you call out? You don’t even call out individuals but whole stereotypes.
Dude, this thread is not about me. I do more community service STILL in a month than you probably do all year so quit the bullshit. You are not even on the same level when it comes to this so acting like you are above me in some way is a joke. Just stop.
To get back on topic. I think (hope) that what we’re seeing is more of a phase. I mean, how much time does someone spend once they get into the real world and realise that they aren’t, in fact, owed something? I think that’s the test that’ll make someone “nut up or shut up”.

I think things finally hit home with this recession. I mean, yeah, you COULD fuck away four years of college and barely graduate…but now you get to spend the rest of your life wishing you hadn’t as you either can’t find a job or take lower paying ones to make ends meet. I know a ton of people going back to school in their late 30’s because of this.
I don’t think it is just a phase though which is why I brought up the military as a gauge of society’s excess. 100 years ago, people were denied because they were too skinny (but there was a draft so no one was doing in voluntarily). Today, they are lacking in new recruits so they have to change the standards to accommodate the new flaccids.
(I only read the first post not the whole thread so sorry if this has been asked and answered ad infinitum)
Honestly why bother? I get the frustration but isn’t it a bit futile?. I mean you can point someone in the right direction… show them they are wrong and what they need to change, but if someone doesn’t seem to ‘get it’ by the 3rd strike… why bother?
I dunno… maybe some people like making zero progress?

Well it seems that most of the posters on the this thread agree that there is a problem;
We’ve established that standards have changed, who’s to blame etc.
So what can be done / what needs to be done to improve the situation?

We can start by setting a good example.
For example: if professor X can do XYZ amount of community service per week while holding down a job and training, any of us able-bodied, of sound mind, men and women can donate our time and skills (for free) to improve the world.
