The neaderthals were apparently also built much stronger than us modern men with much thicker denser bones. Interestingly enough, their increased jaw strength required more bone in their skull for attachment and structual support which resulted in less space for their brain and a decreased ability for cognition.

I’ve probably posted this in the other threads, but I once saw a guy with a water bottle full of vodka at my university gym. There was a huge party on campus that night, and I guess he was getting some pre-drinking in haha. You could smell it from pretty far away.
probably trying to lose some water weight by dehydrating(wrestling?).
I know some kid who tried this, ended up eating like 4 large bags of chips becuase he was drunk and hungry.
i thought alcohol bloats you or is that only with beer?[/quote]
Alcohol is a diuretic, but stuff like beer and mixers tend to bloat you up (all the sugar, carbonation, whatever). My coach said he used to do a shot of whiskey the night before BB competitions for the diuretic effect, hehe.

That right there is some super good information. I’ve put on a couple pounds recently due to water retention and was thinking this morning about sources of natural diuretics if this doesn’t sort itself out in the next few weeks. Shot of whiskey it is.
Which is the stronger diuretic:
Coffee or alcohol?
Neat trick…

Well, as much as I want to throw a “Squats and Shots” party, I think dandelion and a gallon+ of water a day is probably a better cure for water retention. ![]()

But the shots are so much more fun.
