I microwaved the oats first then put protein powder in
yuck. @anon96032531 your version actually sounds good…
Yeah gotta let it set
Mixed with water, the flavour of the protein is absorbed in the oats
Went to a store to pick up something for the wife. Terrible, terrible service. Ignored. Bounced between people. Made to wait. Arrogant salespeople. Etc.
I ended up walking out. I was so annoyed that on my way out, I picked up an electric shaver with the intent of stealing it out of spite. I hate electric shavers and would never use it.
I ended up putting it back because all I could picture was my kid’s faces if I got busted… stupid kids.

As I have gotten older I have found two things annoy me about training.
- Extended warm up period to get things warmed up so things start firing on all cylinders .
- How easy it is to feel beat the hell up and having to address it more often.
Don’t warm up and only do the eccentric on the arx.
I used to put gainer in them. Lots and lots of milk.
Pookie’s back ?!
I am. Roll our the red carpet!
It’s been a while since my last confession, so there’s a bit to confess:
-I’m opening a gym… probably not the best financial decision
-I shelled out the money to become a Westside certified personal trainer (neither the best nor worst decision I’ve ever made)
-Started TRT… seems like 200mg test/week is just enough to bring back morning wood, but not really enough to help out in the gym… thinking getting the big boy doses would’ve been cheaper and more effective.
-I’m still north of 350 and hitting poverty numbers.
Confession time: Perhaps a sign of the times for me, but I actually removed myself from the EliteFTS “newsletter” email club thingy they have. I cant remember what it used to be when I signed up so many years ago, but now it just seems like the weekly ad, which I dont need or want.
I’ve alllllmost done it with Precision Nutrition, but the content they send is interesting, even when not applicable.
I just dont have the desire to have lifting / health info sent my way on a frequent basis anymore. I still find certain things interesting to read, but I just dont want that daily / weekly exposure that I used to like in my 20’s. I know what I need to do and what works for me, and if I think of something I want to know more about I know where to find it.
Somehow im getting those on my work Email and I dont know how or why… I have never given them my work Email just my home.
If you haven’t got it already, the web-subscription to Dr Rusin’s website is great
Overtraining is easy. Try deadlifts 7 days a week.
So if I deadlift 135 lbs for a few sets of 3 every day I’ll get overtrained?..
If you have a poverty lower back like me…
I’ve been deadlifting >5 times a week for the last three-plus years and have a 605 deadlift with zero episodes of overtraining, but good job, good effort.
Keep in mind that 80% of all cases of overtraining are 27% diet.
Its just plain science.
I finally got around to asking previous clients for a letter of recommendation. Up to this point, I’ve used one from my mother-in-law from 8 years ago.
Extra padded Bra = replacement for blocks on training bench sticking points.
Improvising award goes to me. Ha!
