The Flame-Free Confession Thread

Can’t say as I blame her. You know what they say: It don’t mean a thing if it ain’t got that swing.

I think you’ve gotten the wrong impression. I’m in LA the state, not the city.

Old tree cutting story: We were taking out a Big (60"+ at breast height) silver maple in a tight suburban back yard, butted up on one side to a neighbors fence and old swing set. All climbing and manually (rope) rigging the huge laterals. After about 6 hrs the lady comes out and tells us we can bomb the swing set and throw it through the chipper too!

Boom! Next section came down like the fist of an angry god. Describing it doesn’t do justice, but it was wonderful. Everything went so much quicker after that.

How does one bring a lady (or gentleman, if you’re of that persuasion) home to a tiny house?

“So, want to finish this conversation at my place?”
“Sure”

“Here it is”
“Oh, umm, I just remembered I can’t stay”
“What is it? It’s my tiny house isn’t it?”
“No, no… it’s not that”
“Yes it is. You were all into this and then you saw how small my house is…”
“I swear it’s not about the size of your house”
“Just because it’s tiny doesn’t mean you won’t enjoy it”
“I think I’d have a great time, it’s not that”
“Then what?”
“Umm… herpes, I just had an almighty flare up”
“What? Just now?”
“Yeah, it buuuurns! I gotta go, bye”
“Okay, I’ll call”
“How about I call you? And love the house, it’s great. So hip, you’re such a good person.”
It’s true, I am a good person

Up in Oregon people love tiny houses. It makes everything else seem much larger.

Makes morning wood a PITA for both. Not just the wife anymore.:joy:

I got asked by a girl I know if I would PT her (I was a PT for a few years). She’s hotter than the sun, so obviously I said yes.

She’s a girl so naturally she just wants to do like a billion exercises for her ass, but she’s got a seriously messed up knee so it was proving tricky. Even hip thrusts were bothering her knee. What’s up with that.

Being the genius that I am, I had her doing pull-throughs. Ain’t nobody getting knee pain from pull-throughs, but she fucking sucked at hip hinging. Just couldn’t get the hang of moving her hips back and kept just bending over from the waist.

So to get her hinging correctly, I stood behind her (so the cable is now going through her legs and mine) and told her that without moving her feet she needed to grind against me.

Boom - straight away the ass shoots back in a perfect hip hinge!

I might be a pervert, but I’m a damn good PT.

With my super f**ked up knee, I can do pull through, no problem. I have major cartilge and other soft tissues damage.

So I bought a heavy steel shelving unit for the garage that I have been avoiding building for a while.

The better half took the kids out and I decided this was a good time to put the shelving together.

I decided to bring everything in and assemble as much as I could while watching classic Arnie movies. I haven’t watched an Arnie movie in years!

The stupidly expensive dinning table we bought about 3 months ago had a good view of the TV and was a good sized work area.

It all went swimmingly, all pieces bolted together and ready to take the garage for final assembly. As I start taking them out, I hit the table with the edge of basically the heaviest gauge steel. A nice big dent on the top at the edge.

I look at it and think: damn it’s pretty bad… I’m fucked. But I had to do the right thing.

I turned the table around so the dent is facing away from where we usually sit and away from where we walk.

So far… I’m golden. If I can make it for a few more days, I think I can pin this on one of the kids.

Lol if that was me I would have built it on the table and realised after that I had scratched the crap out of the top !!

Was just eating a delicious steak burrito at a nice Mexican restaurant and one of my bites had no steak in it, just the rice/beans/lettuce etc., and I genuinely felt bad for vegetarians at that moment because that is the only burrito bite they’ll ever get. A moment of silence for them, please.

Poor saps hey
My misses was watching a documentary about prison life, when a scene came on where the prisoners hit a pig over the skull with a sledgehammer to kill it
Quite a graphic scene with the noises and all to go with it
I grew up pretty unsheltered where I was shown how to kill chickens etc and how to prepare them to eat so it hasn’t ever really bothered me, but understandably for her it was very confronting
Que the next day, driving in the car with her and her friend when she is explaining the documentary scene to her friend, as she was explaining the scene, I imitated the noise that the pig made (it was very impressive, how accurately I demonstrated it)
Yeeeaahh, that didn’t go down well

I’ll admit. I failed my Trigonometry class in community college. Now I’m taking it again at my University. I just don’t understand Sin, Cos, and Tan. At all.

Tutors help, but I guess my brain just refuses to care about it.

Oh my goodness! I forgot everything about this! Luckily, we have the internet for reference and scientific calculators.

All I need is resources. I don’t have to memorize everything.

So, I posted an arm shot to the August Check-In thread. In a move that was totally unfair and underhanded, I pulled the pic up and showed it to my wife with the username/avatar hidden, and asked her what she thought. She shrugged and said “It’s OK, I guess.” Of course I was offended, and told her it was my arm. To which she responded, “Well, to be honest, I actually thought it was really impressive, but I didn’t want to say that because I didn’t want to put up with you pouting and being jealous.”

So now I’m in the strange position of being jealous of my own arm.

(To repeat, I know what I did was a jerk move.)
