Did you lower it so you didnt have to bend your elbows to curl?

Confession: I love the smith machine for rows #flamefree

I used to do that because I was able to really position/angle myself over the bar and not worry about toppling forward. Rowing to your waist is IMO what makes barbell rowing an excellent movement, but at least 95% of the people I see in gyms do it wrong.

I have a bad habit of combing words when I talk. Today’s was particularly bad.

Coworker: looks like we will be getting rain next Monday
Me: oh good, I won’t have to water my lard.

How are they doing them in the gym!? I couldn’t imagine doing rows any other way, lol. I workout at home so I don’t usually see gym fails cuz…it’s just me, only time I fail is on my last rep.

:smirk:

What’s a monolift bro?

Saves you walking anything out.

That’s pretty kewl, is it that much effort to walk it out tho? I guess if it’s a tremendous weight. I don’t have a rack so if I want to do srs weight it has to be deads or hack squats.

If you curl as much as @MarkKO, it is.

Lol, now that’s alpha.

If you’re in a multiply suit walking out is fucked. Outside of that it’s not a major effort. The fed I compete in mandates the use of a mono for all squats though, and because it is different to walking out I train in one.
