The Flame-Free Confession Thread

He’s knows the struggle lol.

Only time I can really accomplish anything is with my head under running water

And for him, a half of a bottle of conditioner.
My hair is straight as board. I don’t even know what to do with his…lol

If you’ve ever seen a slinky, picture a bunch of mini ones all over my head lol.

I think this will be my own new advice for individuals whom want to over think all this and want to be askholes. Especially , when other members have given them tons of input … be it article links , video’s along with the whole nine yards.

Damn bulldog, you’re shoulders are looking wider than the shed in my yard!!

Nice contrast to the sparkly “dog” sign in the top left.

Today’s Tip: THE BULGARIAN SPLIT SQUAT

“If you can’t do your bodyweight for 6-8 reps, it’s time to bring up your single leg strength.”

Well, Ben, if I could do 240 lbs for 8 reps then I’d be a freakin beast and attaining my dream of a 405 squat would be easy.

Am I the only one who thinks that standard is a bit high - - especially for lifters over 30?

It’s a stupid standard. Best I ever did was 5x231 lbs. That was maybe 18 months ago.

The first (and last) time I attempted a Bulgarian split squat, I pulled a hammie.

Is there really any advantage to BSS to standard lunges? ROM is the only thing I can think of, but does it make that much a difference?

If you put the top of your foot on the bench or box behind you then it really limits how much you can push off with your rear leg. I used to dig my toe into the bench/box but it turns out that’s wrong (or less than ideal). I also never touched my knee to the ground. The way the article describes them is actually a lot better. It makes me work more.

If you’re awesome at lunges and manage to not push off your trail leg then they probably aren’t much different other than ROM. But lunges can be like step ups. I never see anyone doing a legit step up. It’s always a step up, jump from the rear leg, and finish with the lead leg. That’s followed by a mostly relaxed fall back to the floor with the trail leg.

check this shit out

Beard oil is gross. Beard butter is better.
