Just request heavy cream. More calories and nobody will bat an eye.
I like your style. I don’t drink tea so all’s fair really!
yo being in medical school this resonates with me well. I think im the only one here who taking lifting seriously, and really likes to kill it. Pretty much just bro arm lifters here. When they ask me to go out I legit have to come up with some good excuses, sicne all they want to talk about is fucking school. Im in this shit school for 12+ hours a day and they think when Im out at the bar or out somewhere eating, they want to talk about more fucking school. Psychos.
FUck man I can’t count the number of times I skipped class in college to go train. Honestly, I think training is more important than sitting in a class that can be learned later that will take less time and youll understand it better than having someone harp at you for 2 hours.
Where do you intend to practice medicine? Just asking… for a friend.
It is pretty common not to go to lecturei n medical school, especially with non mandatory lectures. you find secondary resources which are much more condensed and just all around better than lecture.
Im in the northeast.
I agree.
Especially when the sole purpose of the lesson is to copy paste the book onto the blackboard.
And then have the students copy that back into their notebooks, because note-taking.
Genious!
What pisses me off is that I frankly expect them to realize that I bought the fucking shoes and they can stop advertising to me. Can they not cross-check to see that while yes, I looked at them at Zappos, I bought them at Amazon?
If you’re going to track my every move, do it properly!
You know what’s 10x worse? You check it out online. You get it in a physical store. A few days later, they give you an ad for it and it’s half the price of what you got it for.
I will never comprehend, nor do I want to why high pulls are okay for shoulders and wide grip upright rows are the devil.
If it weren’t for the decent camera on my cell phone I’d go back to using a flip phone.
I use the AdBlock extension on Chrome.
How does shoulder impingement sound?
But I feel both would do same damage to shoulder?
It is my understanding that wide-grip upright rows are fine. It’s narrow-grip rows that are the evil incarnate.
Wide grip to my nipple line with control always felt good to me
High pulls made my shoulder joints ache
I guess its one of those one size doesn’t fit all mysteries that come with training ?
Ikr! I’ve always wondered about this, too. Plus, I happen to hear people advocating stuff like power Upright rows for powerlifting.
Anyway, one possible answer is that elbow positioning (hence shoulder position) is actually different in high pulls—I remember reading an article from CT in which he said elbows should be pointed at 45 degrees rather than perfectly straight up, which to me looks like a more externally rotated shoulder position.
Also, as EyeDentist said, wide grip (or really also the db variation) is considered safe( r), ESPECIALLY if you don’t abduct your arms past 90 degrees. In case you’re actually interested in the topic, lyle mcdonald has a very good article on his website about this.
High Pulls are an explosive hip movement. The arms and shoulders aren’t actually supposed to do any pulling.
If it weren’t for work emails and kindle books I would too. I get so much done/read while waiting with my phone.
I hate every other feature. Especially texts and social media.
I believe they’re talking about upright rows.
