Yeah I haven’t hit bulldog status yet…
Oh it will…soon enough, when the stupidity level you see reaches critical mass.
Shit does amaze me. I predominantly go to a new mega YMCA that’s part of an affluent lake community. GREAT facility. But, lots of stupid people, and LOTS of snobby kids.
I will say one thing though, people do notice the way I train and they stay out of my way for the most part, so that’s good.
Yup.
-30 in the winter, 100 in the summer, still pure bliss.
Yep… been there done that.
Picked this bad boy up a few years ago because the Palm Springs heat was BRUTAL in the summer (Thermometer in the garage would be between 110-120, with no air flow). This thing doesn’t put a dent in the overall temp in the garage but it blows cool air right on you so its perfect just to point at the squat rack
Sure, it’s 120 for you guys, but it’s a dry heat . . . lol
What shift is everyone working that they’re training in the heat of the day? I see this a lot in training logs. Just curious.
With job/kids/house I can either train at <5am or >9pm.
I work from 6: 30 am to 3:00 pm. Found that I cant lift worth a damn in the early morning and if I train late evening I get insomnia .
Sales, flexible.
I’m the exact same way. Noon to 2 is my ideal time if it fits schedule.
Office hours most of the time with some late nights. I lift in the mornings or evenings except for weekends when I can lift around noon. It hits the high 90s in the summer here but that’s not so bad. A fan is fine for that.
Like @bulldog9899 late night lifting definitely results in insomnia for me. I get insomnia anyway if I skip workouts. Or if I can’t turn my mind off. I’ve always had problems sleeping.
I get weekends off. Good time for prowlers and running.
I work from noon to midnight, but only 3 days a week (schedule is inconsistent so I cant always just train the days I’m off, plus I frequently pick up extra). I basically have to workout when the baby goes down for a nap on the days Im off so its usually some time in the afternoon if I miss the AM nap sesh.
-30 in the winter
This is when “warm-up sets” takes on a new meaning. A couple of sets to warm up the dumbell handles… A couple of sets to warm up the spot where you grip the barbell… Maybe gloves to start off with.
Good times
Confession: I enjoy classic movies being remade. I enjoy the originals, but very often find the remakes just as satisfying.
Dare I ask for examples…? Haha
Total Recall (loved the one with Arnie in it, and I strongly dislike Colin Farrel(?) as an actor, but it was still satisfying to me)
True Grit (I grew up on Rooster Cogburn as my old man fed me a steady diet of Clint Eastwood and John Wayne) Brolin and Bridges did a great job in my humble opinion.
Dredd Sly was awesome, but I enjoy Karl Urban, and he did a pretty good job.
Disclaimer: I am not saying they are better or worse, I feel they simply stayed true to the original and were satisfying movies to watch. And I am sure there are a thousand more, these are simply some I’ve re-watched in the recent past.
Would you guys like fighting 20 duck sized Mayweathers or 1 Mayweather sized duck?
I wouldn’t fight 1 normal sized duck. Vile, vindictive bastards.
