I don’t know how successful he may be, but it just seems like an unnecessary case of sour grapes to produce an endless amount of videos calling everybody else liars and cheats while claiming to have the real lowdown on how to get strong. Other S&C coaches that actually are doing well don’t do that. They’re too busy helping people win. They also have the smarts to exercise some discretion instead of popping off like a giddy little 9 year old tattle tale.
Is it really good for the serious lifter? It’s probably a moot point for anybody who is really dedicated. They’re going to do what they do because that is who they are, disenchanted youtube trainers be damned.

Yeah…you don’t see Joe DeFranco making videos bitching about how much everyone else sucks. He just educates and continues to train people, because that’s what he loves to do.
To be fair, someone who works with athletes could hardly be a crusader against fake naturals considering the overwhelming usage of steroids in young athletes. I don’t see why people imagine the only reason for calling out fake natural personalities is sour grapes.
I think it is really important to let kids know the truth, in all aspects of life. So many kids thought Arnold and other bodybuilders were all natural and after wasting their money on crap supplements and doing the Arnold beginner workouts can’t fathom why it isn’t working.
If someone was selling adverts on his video and claiming god healed his cancer, but it turns out he was on chemotherapy and had been treated by medical experts then wouldn’t it be a good thing to expose that person and his lies?
Well isn’t it important to let kids know their arms won’t grow by doing quarter curls and CT fletcher 1/4 goblet squats and weird bent over deadlifts won’t help them in the long run? Or would it be better to let them break their back jerking deadlifts up because " strict for is for poof butt motherfuckers"
I can respect and even look up to CT fletcher but still tell people not to follow his way of training as a young undeveloped man who hasn’t been flooding his body for 30 years with chemicals.
Nonsense. Clearly EVERYONE is tired of the lying and the cheating and the flakiness, and those who aren’t busy making youtube videos to chant against bodybuilding, at least find time to make every second online post about the lying, flakiness and the utter moral bankruptcy that is professional bodybuilding.
The coaches that are doing well and keep away from any discussion about the state of affairs in pro-bodybuilding are probably involved in aforementioned lying, flakiness, "mooch"iness yada yada yada OR they definitely talk about it in private with their friends and colleagues, some of whom post on this site but are not at liberty to divulge further details.
So there.

I wouldn’t want my kid growing up thinking that appearing in gay porn is something he has to do to get yoked.
Unless of course it is just coincidence that they are bodybuilders that just happen to be gay.

Yes, we can tell our children that it’s possible to go to a gym to work out either in the morning before work or in the late afternoon or evening after work and that it’s OK if a meal or workout is missed here and there because of a life stressor or other responsibility or holidays or weddings or funerals and that their muscles will not disintegrate for doing so and that responsible men don’t put lifting above everything.
This is provided that our children do not have delusions involving pro bodybuilding even being a real career aspiration… except for about five men on this planet at any given time.
Many bodybuilders are gay and there are loads of gays who fetishize bodybuilders. It is a “sport” pretty much funded and first heavily promoted by gays. The first magazines depicting male physiques were gay magazines. Many straight bros might not like that, but it’s true.
Not only are we speaking of men who don’t want to work or are morally destitute, we are speaking of men who have the mentality of children.
You sure do spend quite a bit of time thinking about and ranting about gay dudes who are into bodybuilding.
Mentality of children? Damn. With that much judgment you must be the next Mother Theresa.
I think its laziness that drives much of that. Considering all most of them planned on doing was standing on stage in posing trunks, some of this isn’t much different than what Sandow was involved in…and people praise him.

Because sandow is sexy as fuck and docent look like a mutant.

What is “not when”? I don’t understand your post as I don’t know what you’re referring to in my post.
Homosexuals are a class of people, as are heterosexuals. And why can’t they be spoken about GENERALLY?
You said, “no, you aren’t”. What aren’t I?
Again, totally confusing post.
Of course it’s confusing- I’M BLOODY CONFUSED. So far, everybody who’s offered me security outside this house has, in the end, expected me to do something in the way of transporting drugs, stealing or killing people and I’m FED UP WITH IT. I need a way out that doesn’t involve hurting others, and it’s nearly the end of the show AFAIK. So please for fuck’s sake bear with me.

I don’t. I only speak of it when it’s a topic I am discussing or is brought up by someone else. It’s also hard not to notice it or talk about it from time to time considering I am involved in a hobby and follow a pageant circuit… I mean, a “sport”… that is funded and promoted and followed by gays and also in which many of the competitors have worked for gays or are gay.
I consider myself somewhat altruistic and empathic, but not as much as Mother Theresa.
Yes, I as a grown, 34 year old man, recognize childish behavior and mentality. Don’t you?
I always find it funny when someone such as yourself speaks negatively of judgment or implies that judgment is bad.
Care to explain what is wrong with judgment? An accomplished man such as yourself was judged many times, right? Otherwise any schmuck would be able to qualify and complete dental school if they weren’t judged (eg, showed competence to a judging body or individual).
Yes, laziness that didn’t allow them to develop intellectually past the time at which they took up bodybuilding. So let’s say some lazy IFBB pro or NPC moocher (not talking about the ones who actually work and have or had their head on straight, like Dugdale, Dorian, Hernon, and so on) started lifting at 19, but will give up competing at 35. When he is 36, he will have the intellectual development of a 19 year old, and when he is 36 resemble a 20 year old intellectually, and so on and so on.
The thing is this; When a lot of people first get involved in bodybuilding, they are weak. Not just physically, but spiritually weak, and the last thing you need in those circumstances is somebody who is looking for sexual pleasure. It’s a constant battle to find new sources of strength, and to me, ultimately, you can’t rely on other men for that. They’re far too ready to ask you to commit crimes in return for financial reward.
I don’t think being homosexual is wrong per se, I just don’t think anybody should expect sex, certainly not as a reward for other services. So if young men seek strength, they need to be guided by people of either sex WHO ARE NOT INTERESTED IN EXPLOITING THEM. Which is why gyms need an atmosphere that is protective. It’s not just women who are vulnerable. That’s all. There comes a time in any man’s life when he can no longer rely on others for protection. In those circumstances, my first instinct is to protect those around me and I intend to play every card I’ve got until the game is over.
That’s ultimately irrelevant to the discussion about the fitness new age, but it does have this implication; the only choice is choice itself, and when you are seeking a way to even the odds, in strength sports or just in life in general people need to stop manipulating each other. The ultimate choice, always, is between survival and death and in those circumstances you leave behind people who can’t pull their own weight. So people like these jokers who are trying to persuade you that theirs is the only path are to be ignored. I hope this is still making some sort of sense.

Sorry but where do you live that you walk out the door and people expect you to sell crack and stab people? I live in a poor area with lots of crime on an estate with armed robbers, drug dealers, have relatives who are criminals and no one is asking me to come stab people with them or pressuring me to do some joy riding.

I am willing to bet this applies to many businesses and professions today.

Your personal judgment is your own. When you begin to voice that judgment quite often at any opportunity given it shows bias and negative emotion.
Just so you know.
How does taking a picture in your underwear or even naked equal “not developing intellectually” in and of itself?

…which is sort of why the “oh my gawd there are gay guys into bodybuilding!!!” act doesn’t play well.
Physique Art like Sandow was involved in wasn’t exactly posing with pit bulls wearing chains while lifting the wheels from a train.
Thats not an act. The thing is, my upbringing in weight lifting has always- and I mean from like the age of 10- included the knowledge of steroids and what they were for. There was no time in my life that didn’t include contact with people who used them.
The gay thing though, that actually was news to me. I had no idea that body building and homosexuality were so interwoven. I’ve been propositioned by older gay dudes enough that it became a running joke among friends of mine, but having never actually identified myself as a body builder, I never made the connection. I just thought that those were some damn forward gay dudes.

Well, yes, it could. There’s no other answer to that, really. I’m not trying to impress you or anything though, just thinking aloud really. The point is this though; requests never come without a price and trust has to be earned. Rural areas with high unemployment are just as dangerous environments as inner cities and it fucks you up in the head, given enough time.
To give some context; last time I tried to move out, I ended up caught up with people who were into drugs and just starting to get in over their heads. I don’t scare easily, but I do get paranoid and once bitten twice shy and all that.

Yeah mate I know what you are saying. I have encountered similar problems, however, we probably brought it on by surrounding ourselves with cunts. Generally most people probably won’t encounter situations like we have, ours being the unfortunate minority.
In general your post was good and I agree with most of it but I doubt it applies to most people on here and thus should not be generalised but contextualised and appropriated in appropriate situations.
