i agree with you Jilly. honestly though, was the first pic in that thread not provocative? maybe the girl is just so damned cute that every picture of her appears that way…but that first pic really showed us nothing but a gorgeous face and a pair of large breasts. did it not? her legs werent in the picture at all, it was a pic taken from the side, really just showing how big her boobs were and how cute she was, there wasnt much showing of a physique in that picture. if that picture didnt start the thread, perhaps the response would have been different. is that unfair? quite possibly.

I have been the first one to call a girl out that was seeking attention under the guise of just wanting input. I think she had a thread called “If I were a piece of candy - what would I be”.

It doesn’t take long to ell the difference between the girls that are genuinely seeking input, ones that don’t mind the BS, and ones that post just to get their egos stroked.

ive spent some time in melrose, norwood, and somerville. i havent been in boston for about two years now, but the italian food and wine in the north end left an everlasting impression on me, have to get there soon. last time i was in boston i was rehabbing a multi-unit house in somerville, off the top of my head i dont remember the street it was on, but the house was beautiful when we finished, that was a summer of hard knocks for me. at the one end of the street, just around the corner, there was a bar called “the paddocks”…great little place. worked from 7-7 or 8 every day, then headed to the paddock for beer and food. after the 5th beer or so, the rest were on the house, food wasnt bad either. check it out if youre in somerville, tell tony a friend recommended it.

There are always going to be women who come along and post those sorts of pics and invite that sort of attention. The world is full of all sorts of people. This should not mean that women that do NOT post these types of pics should also receive the same treatment. The site hasn’t been “ruined” because of them.

I see your point, but she followed that post with several other pics and lots of text about her training and questions asking for help and feedback. Are you really so unable to control yourself that one “cute” picture causes you to act like you’re at a strip club with a bachelor party?

oh dont get me wrong, i agree with all that you said. but go back and look at what I wrote. what i said was essentially “i think this girls hot, who’s with me”…i think thats harmless. an individual that made referrence to his “nuts” and giving them to the girl was one of the very individuals that then turned the several comments laced throughout into the big deal that they were. in fact, up until that point i suppose the girl was checking her thread to read the legitimate responses, and she was intelligent enough to skip the bullshit, because i honestly dont think it had been a big deal to her.

Aussie…you may have come in about the time I posted the “yo momma” insult to rainjack (a joke and not commentary on real-life conditions about his mother). Like Dex said, re-read the thread (started by PTKrissy) and you will see that rainjack started hurling the insults long before anyone. You can only take so many insults before you sling one back.

I apologized because I can see that it is possible to err in judgement about the intentions of a particular poster…and in this particular instance, the “I’d hit it” comments were not sought after. I apologized for posting them.

I also apologized because I didn’t see it being worth the time to endlessly battle the point with a self-righteous, shove his way of thinking down your throat, and always get the last word type of poster like some in this and the above mentioned thread.

I am by far not attempting to be the “class monitor” of the forum…that is obviously rainjack’s job. But when he keeps making personal comments and hurling insults around like a self-righteous prick - while at the same time espousing his virtues - well, thats just bullshit and he needs to be called out on it.

This whole thing started with a thread that included a picture of a good looking girl and a phrase that stated “I had boobs, too”. Just my opinion but, that screams “hey!!! scroll back up and take a look.” and that was exactly what I did.

After reading this thread, I went back and read the other thread(oh, and looked at the pictures). While there were the usual juvenile responses, Dez was not the one initiating them nor encouraging them. He did agree with the postage stamp and floss bikini.

But, what red blooded, heterosexual male wouldn’t. This has almost nothing to do with class or honor or respect. It seems like a thread of who can berate and degrade the other posters more.

I agree with jillybop that you should be able to post pics and get constructive feedback without all the bullshit but that’s not always the case.
