Well long term goal for me is 700.
I pulled 615 for an easy rep about two months ago and pulled 500 x 10 about three weeks ago so I’m estmating my max to be about 625. A goal now is 650 at somewhere between 210-220 bodyweight.

GTFO lol
Dude you’re a beast and I just saw that you decided to come out of lurking. Sweet.
Hit 475x1.5 today. Imma take a deload week, then hit the weights like a boss.

I was looking around your post for a second “**” as a footnote and then got frustrated with myself lol
Good job Ninny.
I deadlifted yesterday, my hand recovered
I hit 495*3 good fast reps without any grinding. I said I was almost there, now I am there
next up: 500*3, then 505, then 510… we’ll see how this goes
I pulled 415 today, kinda disappointed but I know this thread will inspire me to pull more. My goal is to pull 567 by the end of summer (3 months). If I do I will get a video, somehow.

Hurf durf, sorry, I really need to work on my notation. Just something I threw together so I my PR’s stand out in my log.
I stopped focusing on deadlifts a couple of months ago. I’ll still jump in and see what I can do from late July to September first. This is 505 on the video.
By the way, that’s not me yelling hurrah hurrah it’s some guy who saw me load up the bar and gave me no chance of budging it.
^we would be able to see wether or not you were the guy yelling if there was a video
I pulled 484x6 last week so I’m thinking of a 550 attempt somewhere in the next 4 weeks.

here you go Deadlift 505 for 1.MP4 - YouTube
455x10 from today

Failed 450 the other day. 405 flew up so tried to make the jump. Failed mid shins any suggestions? Thinking its my hamstrings that are weak.
Yeah, maybe start pulling off of boxes, Paul Carter has a good write up on assistance work for deadlifting and in general. LIFT-RUN-BANG: May 2010 assistance-work-for-raw-powerlifter.html
Off boxes sort of like a rack pull? Ive been thinking of trying deficit deads since I’m weak off the floor.

but you missed mid shin? so why not pull from abit below there through pulling off boxes as an assistance exercise. if thats were you missed the lift, no doubt that is your weak point, not off the floor. Usualy if it doesnt budge off the floor, there is just too much weight for you to pull
I used to be weak off the floor and still am. I don’t like deficit deadlifts simply because they alter my starting position a bit, i.e. hips a bit lower that doesn’t carry over exactly to pulling heavy singles from the floor.
I experimented with halting deadlifts, just pulling to the knee, and I like those better. I think its more a technique carry-over than a strength gain, i.e. just focusing on learning to strain from the starting position.
My two cents.
