We must not be on the same planet, dude.
Feel free to google “female intrasexual competition methods” and compare that to the male counterparts.

Do you mean strictly for/about sex?
Maybe we are on different planets. Cuz every guy I’ve ever been friends with or even known casually lies like a reflex. About money, how they spend it, and to get money, about sex and to get sex, about who they are, what they do, just dump the whole male interaction thing under the header- self inflation.
I mean its fucking endless. I got so sick of working with so many lying, manipulative, conniving shitbag pussies. Im so glad that I work with just a couple people that are relatively straight shooters now.
I mean, women can be catty, but guys, for the most part, are just gigantic bitches.
This question is so specific that I have to assume you’re going through some issues with the wife.
Everything alright dude? Hang in there if there are issues.
A lot of the stuff from the manosphere is picking out extreme examples of behavior from women and critiquing it / exploring the psychology behind it. It is important I think to remember that these are extreme examples, and likely not representative of an average woman. I’ve seen videos like this where some woman is saying she is turned on by the fact that her man left his last woman for her type thing (she won the intrasexual competition basically), then the video gets into the psychology of why this happens, and usually presents this as a trait that women in general have. I just say take this stuff with a grain of salt.
If you go onto YouTube, you can find videos that use these types of clips to make right leaning people look like morons, or left leaning people look like morons, etc… There are some dumb people on both sides that make internet content and it is easy pickings for people on the other side to tear them apart. I am pretty middle of the road politically, but perhaps a little to the left regarding stuff like school funding, social security net (basically how we should spend tax dollars, I don’t like identity politics though). But I have watched several videos from conservative content creators of them taking down ultra woke people on the left for the content they posted, and I agree with the conservative side in that case. Where it is a problem, and you can see it in the comments section is that many will think these ultra woke stances are held by basically everyone left of center, which just isn’t true. I think the same applies to content from the manosphere about women. It applies to some of them sure. I wouldn’t let that convince me that women in general are all like that.
Yeah, the manosphere stuff is basically a cesspool of manipulation and projection.
Cherry picking an extreme or outlyer then projecting that trait on to a population is about par for that course.
This depends entirely upon their individual strengths. Historically and now, men who are both intelligent and fit (physically robust) will do well regardless of time/place. Some of these “fit” men also demonstrate integrity. Some do not. It’s the same with women. Intelligent, fit women will do well, whether through manipulation or by demonstrating integrity. Ideally, the men with the integrity find the women of integrity, and happiness ensues. Sometimes an integrity will pair with a manipulator, and someone suffers undeservedly. This happens with less “fit” people also. Men who are not very successful, women who match them. Again, some of whom have integrity and some who don’t.
I disagree with @SkyzykS that men are more often manipulative. There are tons on both side and I’d guess it’s 50/50.
But let me say that I really enjoyed reading this post. It was so…vehement! You don’t see people take this firm a stand very often. I salute you for it.
Most of the men I meet seem pretty nice, whether socially or through work. I think the men in my family are nice, and I know other people think so, too.
It isn’t just manosphere stuff. Tons of this type of stuff with politics, race, and gender (from what I’ve seen). Those are the areas I see it the most. It can suck you (or at least me) in too, as I think humans like this sort of content (or at least these often have tons of views). Maybe it is seeing the crazy ideas others put forth, and if you agree with the person who is critiquing it, the algorithm is more than willing to give you more of it. But what you said here:
is correct from what I’ve seen.
We as humans seem to want to put labels on everyone and assign characteristics to the different labels. I think that is just an error in humans, and some have figured out how to exploit it. It has some unfortunate consequences that I’ve seen in what people believe about other groups (or even for people within their group). I very much dislike the growing trend of seeing individuals as a set of characteristics based on their gender, race, political beliefs…
Thank you. Maybe a little over the top? ![]()
There are a lot of good people though too. They’re gold. ![]()
I agree with your previous posts but, it is evolutionary biology. However, it is not just females. Manipulation and lying gave those who were less physically dominant a chance to compete. Those at the top used it when physical strength or aggression was less effective or more costly. It helped form alliances, gain influence etc.
Females tend to be smaller/weaker so, it makes sense more of them would depend on it. However, that does not mean males did not use it and were for the most part much better at it (They are at the top of all/most? hierarchies).
Other studies have shown that men are better liars and tend to lie more. It also depends on the type of lie. A woman is more likely to lie to be nice or to avoid confrontation as they tend to be much more agreeable.
It does not really make sense that women are better at non-verbal communication if they speak “more than twice as many words on average in a day than men do”. So, men say much less and get things done?
Most women also assume (perhaps safe to do so) that all men are potential threats. That is not really being good at something. Men had to be better at reading others as they had to build alliances, fight, etc.
I would say women are better at non-verbal communication in the form of reading/communicating with emotions. As they are higher in agreeableness and so, compassion, sympathy and empathy. They are also higher in neuroticism so more emotional.
It absolutely applies to some women. And @SkyzykS shitbag pussies are some of the men. Certainly not all men! To go to evolutionary psychology to find the reason shitbags-representing-all-men are that way and then attribute those traits to even the men who serve as inspirations in thousands of different ways would be crazy. But that’s what toxic feminism does.
And this is what toxic manosphere does in explaining “women.”
Lots of similarities between the manosphere and extreme feminism. Both like to paint the other side as irredeemable basically. Unfortunately, I think in general we are going the wrong direction in the US, becoming more divided, seeing individuals as characteristics of their assigned group, instead of as an individual.
It is also just so tough for people to see other’s perspective. The manosphere talking heads act like women have it easy, and don’t have their own individual problems, and that men have it much tougher. The extreme feminists think the same with the roles reversed. I think if we could experience things as different people that would help understanding. I find hearing trans experiences as both genders fascinating. One thing those experiences seem to have in common is that one gender isn’t just pie in the sky and the other is oppressed. People that have lived as both seem to agree that there are pros and cons to being a man or a woman.
So so many. When it comes to capabilities. Like, no joke stuff either.
Tree cutting and climbing: deadly stupid to lie about.
Me: “Ok. You said you are a climber?”
Him “Uh. Yep.”
Me: “Where’s your gear?”
Him: uh, welll, my ex girlfriend… (strike 1!)
Me: Can you use a chainsaw?
Him: Yeah!
Me: ok. Here you go.
Him: yank yank yank… puzzled.
Me: flip the ignition switch to On.
Him: oh, yeah…
Me: We’re about to have a big fucking problem with you.
Don’t even get me started about torches, welding, etc.
Its horrible. ![]()
You mean men or apes? Either way it was through both physical competition and manipulation. You do not think there is deception and manipulation in business, politics or law. You do not think they are necessary to maintain power?
Yes, and in general we are better at it. Men are at the extreme at both bell ends. I mean men are at the top of all social hierarchies. You think all that is through honesty?
Do you have specific ones in mind? I am sure I can just as easily give male counterpart examples.
We’re okay. Just at a point of either figuring it out, or divorcing.
The problems aren’t sex related.
Your tendency toward personal honesty is really inspiring. I hope I’m able to be as forthcoming during difficult times.
One of the many benefits of being anonymous.
If i can’t be honest, anonymously online, with a bunch of strangers, who can i be honest with?
I think you’re innocuously oblivious to how a wide swath of people utilize their anonymity. I think you see yourself in others to a large extent, or something else, but that you assume your behavior is common or of-course. Can’t be more right about you than you are, but I learned a long time ago you got to give people their flowers in public. This thread really came back around because you kept at it, and you and I are from different pools of the thought swamp here. That’s so much better than having an easy opinion, a self-righteous attitude, bailing to make a point, or attempting to please everyone. You were much better than me in this thread.
I appreciate your words on this.
It’s not surprising to me the amount of pushback i got in this thread when i voiced my opinion. But if i can’t speak it online, and if ill get canceled in real life - free speech really is dead, then.
pushback is what keeps it interesting.
