The Daryl Gee Project

Yeah,… I’ve been reading reports on other sites… People are Citing Gee as one of 2 guys who were actually in shape, and the rest of the top five (McQuay included) as being name recognition and ‘politics’. I wish I could find some better comparison shots. Lots of shot of the individual guys up there though… Daryl just looks amazing.

Great job, Gee.

Great job Daryl, also Thibs and Raymond for prepping him! And Kevin for doing all the workouts too.

Awsome job Gee!!

Was watching the play by play on MD…great outcome

I think it was politics too, but could it have come down to stage presence?

Chris Aceto and Shelby Starnes did a good breakdown of the show on a different website.

Gee looked awesome by the way.

Any updates on how Daryl is doing with his Olympia prep??? Hoping he gets 6th place or better.

Check out Alex’s thread just above this one in the bodybuilding section. He’s with Darryl again, helping him prep and says Darryl is looking even better this week. Alex’s thread lately has been all about helping get Darryl ready to peak for the show.

GOOD LUCK DARRYL!!

How old is Daryl?

35

Results?

I checked that other site and it looks like since he didn’t hit top 6, he didn’t place. That’s a shame. Good luck next year!

I don’t get. They say Gee added 18 lbs of muscle blah blah. I think he honestly looked better in 2009 (left) vs 2010 (right). I’m pretty sure he is right around 202 in both those pictures. It’s easy to blame the horse not the rider.

That would be incorrect.

He was more conditioned last year but put on size. Just needs to continue to improve and he will be competitive in the near future.

ok you are right he was around 185 in the first pic

Christian Thibaudeau: @ Anthony: 194 … today he was 191 after his depletion workouts and diet. I expect him to be 190-192 on stage once he loads up on carbs and drop his water

This would put him at around 173 a year ago before he added those 18 pounds of muscle. Which I believe is posted above and I remember reading that somewhere in the past. and 191 on stage this year. So he is not 202 in either of those pictures.

Different lighting and angle… all experts said that the package he brought this year at the Olympia was his best ever. But he could have been just a bit better,

184.6 this year for Gee

So you are saying he was 166.6 last year at the Olympia??

He was 190 in Detroit. The article was written after that contest. In the Olympia he was 185 because we had to avoid a water rebound from peaking two weeks in a row and by playing it safe he ended up losing more water weight. Not to mention that the weigh-in was on Wednesday, before he started his carb-up.

He also flew-in on Tuesday night, and as those who travel often knows flying dehydrates you.

Had the weight-in been n Friday like at most shows he would have been 189-191 like in Detroit.

But thanks for trying to argue semantics. Want to debate his haircut next?

@kaeosali… have it out for T-Nation huh?
