The Daryl Gee Project

You obviously weren’t paying attention. He was training 3 times per day, and the first training session usually featured very heavy loads.

Even if he was using light weights (which CT said he really wasn’t) that wouldn’t mean that light weights are better. He didn’t build that large amount of muscle mass with light weight for all these years.

Again this goes back to the whole “what I’m doing now isn’t always what got me here” thing.[/quote]

@CT and all… thanks for your replies. Right, I realize that, but whatever he’s been doing the last 10 weeks, it did get him bigger at his already advanced level!

I’ll re-watch the sessions, obviously I’ve missed something.

Just seeing the pics and videos of Daryl’s back in '09 and now blows my mind. FOr a guy of his frame and development to make that sort of progress in a year’s time is just unreal.

S

yeah, that’s what I thought. It really makes you appreciate his size more. Like, yeah, he’s big, but when you look at how “small” he was comparatively a year ago, that’s just nuts!

It’s not that you missed something. Only 4-5 training videos were posted. And we averaged 2.5 workouts per day for 10 weeks. That’s roughly 125 workouts. Obviously you have not seen everything

Daryl and CT, thought u might like this I made from that MD vid. The width on that back is unbelievable.

Good luck Daryl!

Congrats on your qualification Daryl

Welcome! I must say, when I,Bodybuilder came out i was skeptical, but this just blows everything out of the water. I never doubted ur knowledge or ability to produce results but this… this just fucking destroys any doubt anyone had about anything youve said.

Looks like Daryl took second at the IFBB John Simmons Pro Mens 202, with Stan McQuay coming in first. Both them and Tricky Jackson qualified for the 202 Olympia.

Wish I could find some pics of McQuay and Gee standing next to each other to see how that worked out.

how did stan mcquay beat daryl? wtf…he looked like shit compared to daryl. what bullshit.

Massive thanks to CT and everyone else involved in sharing this project with the world. The Livespills have been incredibly informational as well as inspirational. Even though I’ve never met you guys I feel some sense of emotional attachment to the outcome as a result of your constant involvement with the community through the weeks leading up to Daryl’s contests, and it has made following the show a lot more interesting.

That said, congrats to Daryl on his great performance in Detroit and best of luck in the future. I always thought CT’s idea of constant check-ins and water/carb/sodium adjustment in the hours leading up to a show was a little over the top, but the attention to detail definitely showed through in his incredible conditioning. If he can look that good coming in at 188, he’ll definitely have a shot at the Olympia in the coming years if he can fill out to a full 202.

Just saw pics of Stan and my honest opinion is that Gee OWNED HIM BY FAR! Daryl should have won, period! Glad he still got the olympia qualifying postion though! Daryls gonna own that stage!

You are far from being the only guy who believe he should have been first
