Thank you my friends, it’s been a hectic day today.
My mom has had severe pain in her leg for 2 - 3 month, it became so bad that she’d spend all day in bed for about a week. She didn’t eat very much and the doctors didn’t really do anything.
At last I got them to take some X rays and the found some tumors or something like that in her thighbone.
They took some blood and they came back with some bad numbers.
So mom got to the ER, while I was at work dealing with a demonstration.
I just got home a couple of hours ago and had to sort things out. Mom is in a after the circomstances good position, whatever that means… I can’t visit her because of the Covid thing going on.
So for now I have be patient.

The cakes I pictured was my wifes ā€œNaugty Hornsā€ and Yes it’s marzipan and nuts and dark chocolate. They are awesome. We made some hot dogs when I came home and in a minute I’m going to have my birthday cake. Pictures to come.

So it’s a birthday to remember.
Should have deadlifted and squatted today, I’ll have to do that tomorrow. I haven’t checked my log, but I think it’s the first time this year I had to postpone a workout, otherwise I’ve been lifting every other day.

Might have to postpone more workouts in the future depending on what happens next.

Sorry to hear about your mom. I know it’s been rough sailing since your dad passed. I hope it’s something they can treat. The good thing about the issue being in her legs means it’s not close to any vital organs.

Todays training: Deadlift PR – Squat 5 x 8

Warm up: BW squat, Hip airplane, BPA.

Deadlift

  • 5 x 117, 130 kg
  • 1x 142,5 kg
  • 6x 142,5 kg + 6 x 117,5 kg dropset

Squat

  • 5 x 10 @ 75 kg

Supersetted in between DL and squat

  • incline DB bench press 6 x 13 @ 25 kg
  • Chin ups 10, 11, 9, 8, 8, 7
    .

52 minutes + 5 minutes warm up.

Oh boy I thought 5 reps at 130 would cruch me, the single with 142 was freaking heavy, then I said fuck it at ripped away, 4 easy, 1 good 1 hard maybe even one more in me but it was hard.

Took a little longer rest on squat so got 5 sets of 10 with 75 kg I think my soul left me on the fourth set.

Assistance was fine last rep on incline was a little tough, chinups all sets close to failure.

Mom is good, thanks for the welll wishes, I can’t visit her. Damnit. I hope they will sort her out, would like a year or two more with her.

I’m following the 531 plan.
week 1: 127,5 kg, week 2: 135 kg and this week 142,5 kg.
Goal: 10, 8 and 6 reps.
Next cycle more weight on presses, less reps adding a rep per set each week, chins and pull ups adding a single rep somewhere, I’m hoping to be able to get to 6 sets of 10 reps and a single set of 15.
