The Danish Viking: back to 531: Road to 2-3-4 Plates

Yeah and we want to be able to chase down the bad guys too.

If I’m stuffing to hard I’ll be fat.

This is me, I want to run a 10 km in 45 minutes and to top all of this a good body of mine, picks on me to go mountainbiking on the trails around here…
As Queen says “I want it all, and I want it now”

That might be some fluff stuff, he has seen somewhere.
It’s awesome to see the kids grow and do different things. I truly believe that they have to try all sorts of stuff. Unless they are extremely talented (not in the parents eye though, but in a pro’s eye).

Said with the worst Aussie voice.

woke at 78,7 kg

Yesterday I worked and got home a little late. Went to my buddy’s house got a couple of big G&T’s and 3 big glasses of rum. So another little hungover today.
Going to deadlift and squat in about an hour, I feel sorry for my self. Goal DL 140 kg x 6.

I approve of this message

It was! I am impressed with people who work hard, I don’t particularly care in which direction they go. Pretty sure we can all learn things from each other, regardless of which horse we have picked, as you say.

I’ve got stuck into the rum lately. Great to have out in back yard while shooting some pool or darts or tending to the charcoal BBQ. What’s your favourite? Bundaberg is like feral cats piss but alright for a mixer. Ratu liqueur is absolutely awesome on it’s own, potent stuff though.

I don’t mind Bundaberg. Good with cloudy apple juice.

Hmm, never tried it with cider, double whammy, I love cider, seeing I can’t drink beer. Mercury Draught cider is the best, and I’ve tried a few

Gosling’s black seal rum, with ginger beer, mint and lime is deluxe

I said juice not cider you degenerate.

Besides, would work better with stout or porter. Something like Young Henrys Motorcycle Oil

So a Moscow Mule except with rum instead of vodka, right?

Haha, I just saw cloudy apple and my mind immediately went to cider

Got those a couple of weeks ago, my Kiwi friend likes them.

Beers with a side rum, BBQ, Bonfires, good company Can’t wait til summers really kicks in and this stay at home shit ends.

Favorite rum, Danish brand from A.H. Riise called “Danish Navy Rum” that is awesome, like something I’ve never tasted before. If you get a chance try it, not mixed, just as is.

Fuck just got out of the basement, got my 6 x 140.
Writeup later.
I’m toast rigth now.

Here is todays misery, don’t lift heavy after drinking

Todays training: Deadlift PR – Squat 5 x 8

Viking 531 BBB

C3W3D3

Warm up: rope skipping, BPA, lazy lifter, Hip airplane + fluff

Deadlift

  • 5 x 115, 127,5 kg

  • 1 x 140 kg

  • 6 x 140 kg + 6 x 115 kg dropset

Squat

  • 5 x 10 @ 70 kg

Supersetted in between DL and squat

  • incline DB bench press 6 x 10 @ 25 kg

  • Chin ups 9, 10, 8, 7, 7, 7

.

48 minutes + 10 minutes warm up.

.

Hungover and a night of bad sleep, dreaded this even before I started.

From the first working set I wanted to quit, I had a bad headache and just felt terrible.

The single was heavy and the 6 was ugly as hell, dropped the weight to 115 and the misery kept going.

On to squat 2 warmupsets 20 and 50 kg not too bad, the first set of 70 was fine, the rest was a struggle but all reps was quite fine, but I was out of breath and couldn’t get my heart beat down before I crawled under the bar.

No giantset today.

Got all my reps and sets on my main lifts DL and squat and all reps and sets on assistance. I’ll take that with me and forget all about today. I’m 3 reps shy of a DL rep pr, so I’m pretty pleased.

Nice hangover work.

Or don’t drink before lifting heavy. Also an option

Then there’s Lee Moran, if memory serves, who on occasion lifted and drank heavily at the same time.

Woke at 78,3 kg

That is an option too, but wen the good rum hits the glasses I can’t turn it down.
If (or maybe more accurate WHEN) the rum turns up again I should consider moving the workout a day.
