You forgot the third option. Lift WHILE drinking.

Grow a beard, dude. That’s anabolism 101.

Hasn’t worked for me, mind, but exception proves the rule etc.

I stand corrected. As you were gentlemen.

The story as I recall it was that Lee Moran was drinking in a bar with some friends. At one point, the topic of a 500 lbs bench press was raised and I understand that Lee’s ability to achieve this was questioned. Lee Moran promptly insisted the group instantly decamp to his garage gym, where he locked everyone inside with him until he benched 500 lbs.

Well someone I knew a while back used to occasionally train with a guy who was fucked up on coke for his intense squat and deadlift sessions. He swore on it. From what I recall, he had only a short career in powerlifting due to injuries. Turns out when you are on coke, you don’t make the smartest of decisions.

Then there is Mariusz Pudzanovski and allegedly Kazmaier who used… Ahem very special kinds of pre workouts foe competitions, which allegedly made them even more difficult to deal with.

My beard sucks and itches. It’s also prohibited at work. I can have a moustache, but I don’t want to scare children.

Oh mate, you deff need to do some Movember action this year. I have gotta see that.

Have you ever considered doing 350 sets of bulgarians?

No I just like to hurt others not myself.
You could just to 3 sets of 10 (oh forgot thats hurting too) It was because you wanted fancy stuff.

On that note just came back from running.

20 minutes: 3,75 km

My last run was 10 days ago, I could feel that.

3 sets of 5 is my limit now. I don’t need to do any more. I’m adding volume or weight on my other lifts so I feel like this is fine for those.

Nice work on the running, @mortdk. I did my fartlek workout tonight and I did not enjoy it. The intervals only took 9 minutes but it hurt.

I’ve been doing DB high pulls ever since watching an AthleanX video on how they are a great, shoulder-building alternative to upright rows because of how they add a little external rotation. How are you finding the snatch grip pulls?

I like them quite a lot.
CT, I think it was, had an article about them.
Very good on the traps I think, but it’s mostly the explosive part I like. Or as explosive I can be. Working on it.
