The Danish Viking: back to 531: Road to 2-3-4 Plates

We use cards for everything and I’m sure if you’d have to use real money Euros should be fine.
Enjoy your stay, I hope you’ll find my Capitol fine

I’ve gone to a use cash for everything and I feel like we spend way less money that way. Feels way worse to hand someone a crisp $20 than to simply swipe my card. I know it wasn’t the topic being discussed but just thought it spew some useless info on your thread

Thanks man, yeah I hope so, I’ve got this cold white finger that hurts a bit and buzzes too, it’s been going on more than a week now, so I saw my doc, she send me to the ER to be checked for a blood clot, they where unsure so yesterday I saw a cardiovaskular specialist. They think it’s a clot and that it came from the heart so I had to go to the ER yet again. It’s a bit of a stupid system, but it works very well and it’s free.
They did a ultrasound scan and some EKG’s and found that there it was a healthy heart.
The nurse asked if I was in a good conditioning because my resting heart rate late afternoon was hoovering between 45 - 50.

Won’t say I’m not worried, but for the time being I’m not really concerned, just annoyed about my finger and I want them to heal the damn thing.

I’ll post workouts for the week later today or maybe tomorrow has been a stupid busy week.
Oh btw Istanbul is such a great city, if you ever gets a chance try it out, people are nice, city is clean, nice and beautiful. AND BIG, not counting illegal citizens there’s about 25 million people living there.

Good news but also, no shit. You’ve always been in good condition.

Oh boy… did they give you meds for the clotting?

We enjoyed the city very much. The architectural panoramas are amazing! Very much worth seeing. Only downer are the awfully expensive prices. We just did everything that you have listed and enjoyed the view while walking everywhere. So thanks a lot for the suggestions

I have so many questions for you as a police officer after visiting this place :joy:

Nah no meds just yet, they talked about it, but seemed like they’ll wait. I’m going to go around with some measuring tools for a few days, where they’ll log my heart.

Next step another specialist it could be arthritis or some nerve thing. I’ll just hold on to the ride and see where I end.

Glad you liked the city, yes it’s very expensive to live here.

Don’t ask
Nah I’m kind of in for the Christiania thought, however all the illegal stuff that it’s turned into I’m not that fund of.

Deload’ish week is over, last day was a good one too. Deload meant reducing intensity and upping volume a bit.

Things moved well, all aches have disappeared. Ready for the final stretch.

Next week will be the last week were I’ll do heavy intense work,

I see I see. I hope it’s not a clot though. That would be more worrisome. If they didn’t start you on meds, I don’t think your docs are really fully convinced that it is a clot, so that’s good at least.

Hey, Mort. Maybe a doppler/ultrasound is in order. Curious, any swelling in the area or tightness/pain anywhere recently from the neck down the arm to the wrist?

Hey Trim, had the ultrasound/doppler done, showed nothing. I’ve had on swelling, pain or tightness anywhere, so it’s a bit of a mystery. I think they are checking just to be sure it’s something else.

Any news @mortdk hope you’re all good

Hey Mark

Sorry for the late answer, I’m all good. Still going for some tests, they can’t find anything wrong.
I’m starting to suspect an pinged nerve in my wrist. Carpal tunnel syndrome.
I’m busy at work and in life.
Still #committed getting all the workouts in. monday i did a couple of singles at 95% last heavy session, rest of the week is volume work at around 75%
Next two weeks are going to be hard. No assistance and very little volume and intensity. Friday 6th is my test day.

Good.

Hey, random question, shortly before you got this finger thing did you do anything that compressed your finger at all? A while back I walked back from the shops carrying some plastic bags and they cut into my middle finger. The tip went numb for about two weeks, but it ended up going back to normal.

Glad to hear you are okay @mortdk I began to wonder as well when you didn’t post for a few days. Good luck figuring things out with your finger.

Tried to answer later but the answer disappeared in cyber space.

No sudden impacts or compressions just came out of the blue.

At the start of the peak I started using underhand grip BB rows, and I suspect that they could be the culprit.
If it is the nerve thing that going on.

Thanks @Koestrizer , Yeah I’m good.

Glad to hear you’re ok mort. Sucks to not have a diagnosis, but glad you’re fine. Is it still pale?
