The Danish Viking: back to 531: Road to 2-3-4 Plates

Same question. It’s time to move some weight, Mort! Strap up and let your back and legs have some fun.

Absolutely. Why wouldn’t you for snatch grip? Grip will by far and away be the limiter, to the point that without straps you won’t be able to use enough weight to get the desired effect.

Off to Istanbul tomorrow, weather forecast in DK about 3 – 5 C windy and rainy. In Istanbul sunny and 22 C. I’m really looking forward to it. Autumn here has been cold and very wet.

Curious Mort. You always lost weight in kg and lb. do you do the math each time or are you pretty adept with both?

Ups, I must have got the dates wrong. My bad. Have fun!

Btw. I am coming to Denmark next week. Where in Denmark are you from exactly?

Looks like things are going well in here! Have fun on your trip…I am jealous!

Just north of Copenhagen

I am going to be in Copenhagen for roughly 2 days. What is there that we have to see? Do you fancy getting dinner (depending on how close you live of course)? I have been to Denmark very often but have never seen Copenhagen before.

Hey Jack, nah I’m using an online calculator, it became a habit at one point. Now I’m just continuing. All other weights are metric, so I might drop the lb again.

Hey K that could be fun to see you in flesh and blood.
There a quite a lot of stuff to see in copenhagen. Do you have anything in particular you’re interested in.
We’ve got these electric scooters and bikes that are pretty quick and easy way to get around.
Are you here for vacation or are your day filled with all sorts of things.
Next week I’m unfortunately working evening shift.
But I’ll see if I can get there. Which days are you here?

Hey LL good to have you back here.
Thanks I’m looking forward to the trip.

I am arriving on Thursday late morning and am leaving Friday evening.

So far we haven’t decided on plans for Copenhagen. I guess I am interested in getting to know the city. Have a good impression. Any famous buildings, places, harbor… whatever really. I don’t like to spend much time in museums if I am only there for a short time.

There might be a slight chance for me to slip away friday, so perhaps some lunch or something.
I’ll think about what you should see.
Well we got this “Free town” called “Christiania” it’s on Amager but is pretty easy to find. They’re selling mariuhana and the likes NOT legal, but it’s been there since the 1970’s or thereabout. Could be fun.
Government building Christiansborg are a nice view as well.
Nyhavn is a cosy expensive place with lots of restaurants and cafe’s. Almost a must for tourists. The little mermaid too.
You could take a boat ride if the weather is fine.
Those are all the normal places. I’ll think of something a bit more special. Will report back on monday or tuesday.

Haha I think my uncle told me about that place. He said “a little crazy but beer is cheaper than in the rest of the city”. Thanks for the tips! Shoot me a message if you find the time to grab a bite.

Hey K I’m sorry a bit late here.
I’ve got an appointment tomorrow at the hospital, at 11 and it would take a couple of hours.
I’m starting work at 2 o’clock meaning we can’t see each other.
Sorry my friend, that could have been really fun.

If you haven’t filled up your day and you like churches then “Marple church” Official name is “Frederiks church” located between Store Kongens Gade and Bredgade.

Or you could take to the church “Vor Frelser Kirke (church)” located at Christianshavn near “Christiania” theres a spiral shaped tower with about 400 steps and from the top there’s a fantastic view over Copenhagen.

Ah don’t worry about it, there might be another time.
Quick question: Will we be fine with Euro and card payment or should we get some crowns in Cash?
