Also, gave using the smith machine for close-grip bench partials a whirl. I have to say my triceps felt like they were going to explode. I put the stops maybe half way down in my bench motion then Id go from a dead stop off the stops. Seems like itll be nice addition to my workouts. The rest of my workout was pretty standard issue though.
Zercher squats for the first time today, hit 315x2, pretty proud of myself. Also did front squats, and a set of 135x60 on back squats…PR for that is 80 reps, but that’s when I was fresh. This time was towards the end of my leg workout, I’m confident I could get 90 reps if I’d been fresh.
Also 3 sets of DC style calves, holy shit, talk about feeling the burn. Could barely stand leaving the gym.

Some light pressing, very little pain compared to bar presses. I’ll stick to DBs for now, sucks that my gym only has up to 40 kg DBs though, any ideas on how to add some weight to them`?

Check out this video, about 2 minutes in. Maybe you could jimmy something like this up.

You must be a standing in a puddle of sweat after that! Nice!

Sweet! At first I thought, what the hell, but seeing the plates drop down by the forearm like that, perfect line of pull…Thanks, I’ll try that!

Fucking right dude. You killed those Zerchers today.
Damn, when I was 17 I didn’t know what the hell a deadlift was,. all I cared about was getting the latest X-Men comic. If only I could go back in time and smack myself -lol
Great lift man, but the screaming is ridiculous and wholly unnecessary.
I don’t really see a problem with it. If it helps you get in the zone then fuck it.
If you want to see someone really ridiculous watch Layne Norton, he has some pretty goofy pre lift psyche ups
(Layne just pulled 700 @ 220 btw)
I’m very quiet also but I understand some people need/like to do that.
Agreed. Nothin wrong with some screamin if it gets you pumped up. I find that a little grunting can often help me grind out a squat or deadlift rep that doesn’t feel like its gonna come up real easy.

Good stuff.

Tell me about it. At 17 I think I knew 3 lifts: leg extensions, lat pull-down, and… well I think we all know what the last one is.
