SteelyD is fucked, he is gonna get like 2’+[/quote]

This is what I drove through to get to the gym today. Only about a foot so far, so enough to be annoying but not enough to close anything down, although it was mostly me, the mail-carriers, and plows on the road…

No.Excuses.

Had legs today

Elevated Foot Split Squat
BWx6
95x5
105x5
115x5
125x5

Leg Press (Narrow, low foot placement)

Leg Curls

525lbs from the floor for 2 reps. First rep was smooth, last was hitched.

Nice to see another BOI here guys, I don’t really post much here these days, but keep this shit going. Accountability, progress and positive advice from others is what it’s all about.

Well I probably won’t be posting here TOO often, but will throw in occasional PR’s I’m happy about.

PR for today was 405x7 on squats, up from 405x5 last session, and 405x3 the session before. I don’t know how the fuck I’m making progress so fast, I’ve never gotten stronger this fast on any exercise before. It may be the dozen eggs I’ve been drinking an hour after my post workout shake…maybe.

I’m back after a 2 week vacation in Guatemala. I’m going back to the Conjugate Method.

Dynamic Bench

  1. Speed Bench 8x3 35% Bar weight 145lbs + 80lbs of chains
  2. DB Rows 120x6,8 140x6,8
  3. DB Bench 50x8, 60x8, 80x8, 90x8
  4. Side Raises 25x12, 30x12,12
  5. BB Curls 3x12 60lbs

Everything felt easy and light, I’m easing back into the grind.

Got a lot of accessory work in there, you doing more of a bodybuilding thing now?

Got an email from a friend to compete with him in a push/pull meet in April. I’m thinking of doing the bench, but slots are few. They aren’t drug testing so there is a good chance there will be some absolute monsters at the meet and I don’t want to take a slot from someone who has a legitimate chance so I’m not sure.

Bench 3x7 315
Cabel Row 1X10 190 2X10 240
Bench pause reps 225 + chains 3X8
One arm machine rows (hand still screwed up thinking about seeing a Dr tomorrow)
Incline flies 3X10 55

The plan is go to go 220lbs, and stay raw till about the end of April/Early May. Although I will say, when I originally started doing this style of powerlifting, I responded well to more volume like this set up.

Just read your facebook status haha. I think we are going to hit 220 within a few weeks of each other, just coming from different sides of the spectrum.

Ha, judging from the people who commented, I see there is some expectation on me.

You should be happy to be so lucky

I think Detz is just a fatass that hides behind the label “powerlifter”

Nothing much, hit some shoulders today.

Didn’t shovel as much as Steely but enough to make my Bi’s sore as hell for some reason.

This thread is having issues loading for me…

Am I the only nostalgic mofo on this site? What the fuck happened to the once proud brotherhood of iron? When did this once bound by a thirst for growth and hunger for improvement bunch of hardcore animals get infiltrated by a bunch of pussified moronic cry babies?

I spent this morning replying to threads about people being threatened in the parking lot because they were using someone’s piece of gym equipment, guys refusing to spot one another in the gym and people actually defending this mindless bullshit. Tell me there is hope after all and the glory days will be once more.

I used to walk into a gym and hang around the big boys just to pick up a tip or two. I trained for years before I finally mustered up enough nerves to ask the biggest guy in the gym in the gym if I could please train with him.

The majority of these wannabe lifters nowadays have no fucking respect for the game anymore and are just taking up gym space if you ask me. Why the fuck do you look surprised when I tell you to get the fuck out my way when you are talking to your girl on your cell phone?

If a guy, who is in the midst of a serious work out, asks you to spot him, you spot him when you are ready to do so. And even if he doesn?t ask you, if he gets crushed under a weight and you are nearby, you spot him.

When some young kid comes to you and asks you a few things, don?t be a total jackass and tell him a few basic things to get him on his way.

When someone is just fucking around, tell him to do things right or go home. If you are serious and want to learn, I have no problem helping you along, just come correct and respect those who have come before you.

It is about time we clean this shit up, I am on a fucking war path to grow and improve and will not be taking any prisoners.

That would be very interesting. To bring AA’s vision to life on a greater scale. The problem would arise in deciding who can join the brotherhood of iron. It would also have to be spearheaded by level headed individals. As much of a part of Tmuscle as it is I’m sure we would have some sort of blessing from them if the movement actually took off.
